How can you continue to say this? Your actions say microsoft comes first. If gamers come first, could you not treat all gamers equally? You cannot say this anymore. This just makes people mad. You need to be honest and admit your close partnership with microsoft. Saying one thing and literally doing something else cannot fool people.
As someone else said, it would have been better to give microsoft game content. You can wait a month to download a dlc. You cannot download a deck of cards or cloth map. The leadership at cdp is NOT thinking about gamers first, obviously!
EDIT: Okay, so trying to be productive, what about this,. Instead of making the collectors edition different, why not make the STANDARD edition different. Then you can pacify your sponsor and keep your integrity to fans. Mindless console players buy the standard editions. Its your committed fanbase that buy the collectors. Isn't micosoft wasting their money buffing the collectors edition? Give them a cd sountrack, cardboard sleve etc this has been done before.

To think the REDS have spent upwards to 4 years making this game to the best of their abilities just to have people sling mud over a deck of cards. Does the game no longer entertain you? To be fair when talking about the CE, you shouldn't say "is the game no longer entertaining" because it is more then just the game at that point, that argument would be valid for the standard edition. Also it has more to do with the fact that cdpr said they wouldn't do exclusive content.
The thing is, whether it's in-game content or not, you can't claim to have this whole "value system" about treating all platforms equally one moment and then play favourites the next. And that's what this is: playing favourites with one platform above the others. Making a big deal about treating gamers as equals and not doing all this favouritism is worth nil when your so-called "value system" goes out the window based on a technicality. The same "value system" that dictates no-DRM and no exclusive or timed DLC, etc. should apply to this because the values are essentially the same (or should be).
What CDPR have done like if I was running for mayor of a city with the promise that I wouldn't knock down some historical building with a wrecking crew, only to get in and then burn it to the ground instead. I technically told the truth, but the result isn't that much different, and those who voted me in because of that earlier promised would be pissed (and rightfully so).

Did anyone say the game is going to suck now? I didn't see it.
Clearly a lot of people expected better from CDPR though, including me (PC CE preorder). People can argue they didn't explicitly say CE content will be equal, but it goes against the entire spirit of in-game content being equal or treating all gamers equally. They also announced this way after CE preorders sold out and mostly affects people who spend the most on Witcher stuff CE buyers.
CDPR has no more core values. They have grown big, targeting the mass audience, join the platform exclusive deals, dumb down PC version with consolised UI/menus, no FOV slider, witcher sense giving direct answers. Won't be surprised their future games is PG13 rated. This comes from a fan who bought 2 copies of Witcher 2 on PC

Will I still buy the Collectors Edition for PC? Hell yeah, can't wait for the release 'cause I think the game is going to be GREAT.

I know that there is little that can be done but for me personally the main point is that I do believe them when they say they really don't want to follow the road to platform exclusiveness.
Also I want to ask every single fan how they would feel if they would be one staff member of CD Projekt Red who gave his soul into this game and endless hours of hard work to now see this shitstorm. There is no discussion that this promotion was not the best idea but I am confident that they really get the point.

I am more sad than mad, that a beloved and trusted Dev/Publisher goes down the road and killed it´s own morals and values.
CDP, you may try to sweet talk yourself out of this ("Here at CD Projekt Red, we always put gamers first. Our PC versions are released DRM-free, we bend over backwards to give you the most beefed up editions of our games (be it standard or Collector's), and we deliver the same game, regardless of platform or version you buy. Moreover, we promised not have any exclusive DLCs, neither per platform nor per retailer, and we do stand by our promise--nothing has changed, nor will change in this regard."), but it won´t work on me and I hope many more. You damaged your image over some money and stand now in line with the devs/publishers in the industry which do so too. Although I really hope the in-game content will be the same, you even promise that. But one promise broken...well it makes all further promises valueless.
The primary reason I bought the CE is because of the statue, then the sweet necklace. I do feel cheated, because a card game...well it IS an additional game (even thoug not video game...but to me gaming is more than video games, I love bord games/ card games too).
CDP please try to reduce the damage, not by sweet talking yourself out of this, but by going back to being honest. First step would be to admit you screwed up big time, second to make up for it somehow (e.g. lower the prices of the other CEs or giving a discount for buying the card game later on (although M$ doesn´t want you to announce something like that eh?).
Well and if you don´t do something about this incident, that pleases the CE costumers...well then this was my last pre-order from me from you.

I think the problem lies exactly there, it's the (admittedly minor) change o an already announced object that we considered "sealed" and sort of unmutable that bother us; also because it's too late to do anything, I cannot change my pre-order toward the Xbox version and I cannot pre-order both like I did for The Witcher 2 (something I did gladly both for the quite difference between the contents of those two Collector's and also to support you guys), not to mention that I would be less inclined to do so since apart from this extra content these two Collector's are identical.
So what could be done to keep your business partner and your collector prone fan happy at the same time? Well I have a little suggestion: why don't you make the two extra object available to be bought from your store at a later time, maybe 3months later (guaranteeing a long temporary exclusive for Microsoft), maybe with some discounted price for those who own a registered copy of your Collector's Edition? I think this might be the best solution to please everybody in the best possible way given the complex (but completely understandable) circumstances.

Im sure cdpr knows why everyone is upset, but what makes you think they are sorry about it? Cdpr has not said sorry or that it was a mistake, the way Marcin Iwiński was talking makes it sound like this isn't the only time it's going to happen. Also they already started down that road.

Today we've got them Xbox catering with the other platforms recieving less goodies for the same price paid.
Next up we'll see their Cyberpunk titles introduce exclusive costumization dyes, cybernetic permutations and GUNS, preorder now at Gamestop.
Honestly, worry and disappointment is less about packs of cards and a map made out of cloth instead of shitty copymachine paper.
And more about promises compromised for added monetary profit which in the future we fear will bring additional aspects from today's industry into CDProjekt's future games. And we flocked to CDProject because of its initial dismissal of the cheapshots of today's industry norms, not because they made the best games ever, they were actually pretty average whilst narratively decent. But they were a humble, passionate group of devs and people who gave it their all without selling their souls to corporate leviathans.

Im just surprised how many of you were surprised by this announcement. Did you really think that the place at XBOX conference this and previous year at E3 was for free? I will say just one thing to all of you who are ready to throw CDPR overboard for this, go and try to create AAA open-world RPG as an independent developer without major publisher behind your back, then we can talk...
Before anything, I dont agree with CDPs decision, for some reasons, but its interesting the phrase "gamers come first".
Without MS's money, nobody would have the physical extras at all most likely, or at least not for free, so in that light, what option really is the "gamers come first" option? reject all possibilities of giving your gamers more in favor of equality, or take advantage of a cost-less (for what we know) addition for some xbox witcher fans?
On one hand, all CEs have the same content, on the other all CEs had the same as before but now the xbox one version has more for those gamers that buy it, and since no company is paying for the goods to be produced and added for PC CEs and/or for PS4 CEs, isnt this a choice favorable to gamers in a way too?
I think equality is more important personally, but this perspective where everyone gets what CDP could give them is at least understandable and respectable in its own way, regardless of me agreeing it was the best or not. Keep in mind im treating this particular subject of the deal only, not talking about what this means in terms of trust, the "treating gamers equally phrase", etc.
Just disappointed the higher quality cloth map and a whole card game are missing from my preferred CE. Never thought PCR would need to be bribed my MS to offer their CE more and better content. What is next? Graphical parity to the Xbone? I'll wait till the reviews are in (yes my CE is cancelled).
If the deal was made before e3 they would have made it known as soon as the CE got announced. Microsoft got to show off a good looking game and cdpr got time on stage, that is why they was on stage at e3.
