guys do already existing owners of the 9 series cards will recieve steam code ?

No, afraid not. It's a new offer starting yesterday, you need to buy the specific "offer" boxes from a retailer. (Similar to the earlier offer where you got to choose one of about four games).
And I believe it's GOG, not Steam.

I bought mine a month ago from newegg.com. I contacted them, and they, at least, are not going to honour retroactive redemptions.

Since my first rig I've gone with Nvidia each upgrade. And though this deal is sweet and I'm in between upgrades, I wouldn't bite without a collector's edition to sweeten the deal.

Aren't you bothered by the 970's issues?

Not really. I'm not going to run 2 in SLI or anything like that.

Any plans to extend this bundle to APAC contries?

Marcin Momot said:

Together with NVIDIA we are happy to announce that for a limited time customers who will purchase qualifying GeForce GTX graphics cards (GTX 980, 970 or 960) or notebooks (GTX 970M or above) will receive a code for a free copy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

The game, launching May 19, will support technologies like NVIDIA HairWorks and NVIDIA PhysX Clothing and Destruction. More details about the offer can be found on official NVIDIA blog. The list of participating retailers is also available here.

Hi, apparently I didn't manage to find APAC countries in the list of countries where this bundle will be active. Particularly Australia. Are there any plans to extend it to Australia market or it is better to ask NVIDIA for that?

Thanks.

That's an interesting questions. Sadly, I'm not sure to be honest. I think it's best to ask Nvidia about this.

I just hope this doesn't mean another move like ubisoft has pulled in the past; make deals with nvidia and then throw optimization in the gutter to encourage people to buy the most expensive cards.

Extending the offer to the 960 and 970 doesn't work for the claim that it's done to sell the expensive cards. The 960 and 970 came out at prices well below their predecessors and historically low for the high-performance GPU market.

Accusing anybody of deliberately putting out a badly engineered game wants proof, or is asking for a retraction. And proof does not include claims that other companies may have done it.

@GuyNwah
I'm not accusing them, simply saying I hope it isn't the case.

I see your point, but that kind of "I hope" reads like, "Your neighbor beats his dog. I hope you don't beat your dog." It's an accusation without words of accusation.

I've had nothing but problems with my single 970. From dp issues to random black screens and i'm being denied the refund. I can't wait till AMD release their new models.

@Marcin Momot I Recommend stating in the original post that the code is for GoG only. While it might seem obvious, I think many people are so used that everything is Steam, that it could be overlooked.

Sana_mia said:
Ah and it's even a Gog.com code...

Shopping time! I know a few people who didn't yet pre-order and wanted new GPU's...

Thanks. Sana_mia, I actually had to check for your reply before I knew for certain it was GoG code, since I don't have a Steam account (Cause fuck Steam).

Went and picked up the 960, since it was for 225 € and currently the 970 is for 390 €. I'm planning long term and since there's no computer that you can get for 1000 € that would be able to run Witcher 3 at max settings 60 FPS (because I want hair Physx!), I figure I only need a decent enough computer now (but with a good CPU) and then I can upgrade the graphic card when needed to play it in max settings in a couple of years or so... Heck I'm still playing Witcher 2, so the longevity is definitely there.

Bit *sad tear* though that I had to cancel my pre-order from GoG (to essentially cut down the cost of the GPU to 180 €) because now CD RED will probably go bankrupt... Because I don't think that only buying the CE will be enough money for them to manage.

I have not seen any issues yet. keep in mind that Nvidia (on the hush) is making specific game driver tweaks. I have SLI 970's and a 660ti for PhysX. (I am w3 ready)
I have 1080p right now, I will get the Acer 2k ips G-Sync panel when it comes out. I have tested 2k with DSR and have 0 issues as well. When Igot to 4k I did have minor issues. These are not 4k cards though. Never were, not gonna change. 1080p for 1 card, 2k for SLI. 3 seems like a waste. The 970 is a great/priced right card. The real "noise" makers where fanboys from the red camp trying to rub it in. Anyways, enjoy your card, if you want a second one go for it. I now have W3 on GOG(bought my second card last night ha) Steam, and 2 PC collectors on order. I did my part to support CDPR, i hope they do not let me down with severe graphic DOwn Grades or buggy release.

You have a bad card get it rma now!!
I have had 1 card and now 2 970s with very little problems, I have benched 12 games (light to heavy vram usage in 1080p, 2k and 4k via dsr) No issues except 3 games in 4k. These are not 4k cards. What brand do you have? My first card had mild coil whine, I ran some heavy benchmarks al night and it went away. The new one has it a tad louder(I expected it, was returned I got for $259.99) and I will do the same. The coil whine is only in menus for the most part anyways.

These are good cards with a tad of a learning curve. I still recommend them no problem in 1080p and 2k

I have been trying but they wont accept it. And in light of the 3.5 gb vram debacle I'm not sure I want to pay those liars for their fake products. I may be forced to sell it and buy a 980 while crossing my fingers it wont be defect from the get go.

I've been waiting for this offer since christmas :p Always wanted the GTX970 for the new rig. And that it's a GOG code is perfect.

So we also get all the preorder bonuses?

Is there, by any chance, any comparison videos using nVidia vs using ATI?

What brand is the card? Gigabyte has had some Display Port issues. They should warranty that card no problem. I know EVGA is very easy to work with to get a new card. I did have an issue with EVGA but it was not lack of RMAs it was they took the card back and told me there is no way what you said is happening, could. EVen know that card destroyed 2 MB, and roughly 32 gigs of ram, before I traced the problem to that card. They replaced it a 560 2 gig card but it died yet again within 45 days. I now use it as a drink coaster on my computer desk HAHAH!
