Medallion's humming... that can only mean one thing! It's time to announce we're working on a brand new expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!

Get ready to return to the Path with Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Songs of the Past, coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 in 2027.

We’re currently co-developing the expansion with Fool’s Theory and we’ll share more in late summer, so stay tuned!

With new content coming to the game, we also need to update our system requirements to ensure smooth performance and compatibility going forward for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Songs of the Past. These requirements will become effective starting from the next update. You can find more about them here: https://thewitcher.ly/NewRequirements

PLEASEEEEEE
Add the option to revert the DLC main menu title and music. I know it can be done on PC but cant be done on PS4 or the next gen PS5 version.
It ruins the mood of the game not having the base game, then HoS title music and background, only BaW.
Sure the new DLC will add a new one but I would like to have each title screen on while I am doing each DLC.

I wonder if CDPR will release another "complete" edition of TW3 once this DLC is out since the earlier editions they've done are no longer "complete" now.

WOOOO, can't wait so excited. Wonder if it'll have Ciri and Yen if it is indeed a Witcher 4 bridge. Is the third sword Ciri's new one, that's a new monster will it also be in w4. Are we getting a new area, so many questions, be very surprised if it's like blood and wine in scale. Don't get why it's on next gen only though.

Any possibility of a PS4 version?
yeah i hope so to. Don't get what makes it next gen only, it's not like it's a graphic update like that one. Maybe they'll make it in mind with next gen patch quailty in mind, and then go back so there's two versions for older consoles? Hope so anyway, i want it on my ps4 too

I wonder if it's going to be set in the past (before the events of TW1) rather than during/after TW3? The first thing that came to mind when reading the title.

I am excited but they should seriously hurry up. 2027? Everybody will probably be able to generate their own witcher DLC with AI by then......

Looking forward to that !!!
My Geralt is retired, but one more big adventure can‘t hurt (hopefully) 😅

Bet this is why Percival canceled some of their concerts in 2024. So I hope we'll all be able to enjoy more of their and P.T. Adamczyk's great music in Songs of the Past!
”Due to the unexpected overlap of dates related to the new production in which Percival takes part, we regret to announce the cancellation of the concerts. The Percival band is bound by an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and we are unable to provide further details.”

Second thing I wish for is a limited retail edtion of this expansion, containg physical cards of the Gwent Skellige deck. That would be awesome! But I fear that might not be a thing, since the recent release of the No Loading Games edition. Still... maybe. prayge

Please please please fix the abysmal CPU threading so RT is actually usable without stuttering and severe FPS drops. The game deserves better than it's current state.

I am in heavens since the announcement ! I wonder what or who from the past is going to bedevil Geralt de Rivia...I kind do hope that it will be Three Black Birds looking for some sort of help and the White Wolf would have to cross the terrible Korath desert unto the land of Dragons : Zerrikania.
Imagine, discovering a whole new continent and kingdom, with Dragons !
I am also intrigued by the third sword he is holding, a cursed gift ?
Lastly, I really, really, wish they are going to announce a Switch 2 port !
Now, there are no excuses to not do it as Resident Evil 9 Requiem and others Third Parties can be played on it (FF VIII remakes and so on) at a great quality. Also, the sales for the Witcher 3 Switch edition were quite good, so I hope they will not ignore the Switch players
(I am well aware that for The Witcher 4, it could be far more trickier to port it on Switch 2 but for that third DLC, I am sure they can !)

CDProjektRed ditching Windows 10 support with the upcoming update to The Witcher 3 and arguing it's because Windows 10 isn't getting security updates anymore (it is still getting security updates, for both consumers and enterprise users until October 2026 when it stops for consumers) and video card driver updates for Windows 10 despite all major vendors still releasing video card driver updates for Windows 10 (Nvidia did drop Pascal support recently, but I believe all RTX cards are still getting game optimization updates).

With new content being developed for The Witcher 3, I wanted to bring attention to a long-standing issue that has existed since launch: the horse walking animation hitch/stutter.

This issue is noticeable while riding at a walk speed, where the animation briefly hitches and causes the camera to subtly jump. Once noticed, it becomes very distracting, and it can even be seen on NPC horses throughout the game. The problem has been documented by players for years, but because it appears tied to the core animation system, mods have never really fixed it properly.

I love The Witcher 3, but this bug honestly bothered me enough that I stopped playing. Since the game is receiving new attention again, I really hope this old issue can finally be looked into.
