Any chance of getting physical Gwent in the future ?

Hi everybody;

I was a bit disappointed when I heard that physical Gwent will only be available in the Xbox One Collector Edition. Worst, people are now selling it on the Internet and the cheapest one I found was sold 80€...

I do not know if the question has already been asked (I guess that yes), but is there any tiny chance to see physical Gwent officially sold by CD Projekt (on the Witcher Store for example) ?

I hope so because I'm really, really looking forward to get any news on this.

Thank you.

Make it your own buddy.. Just take a screenshot or download all card images from net then print it & stick it on card paper.

For more quality use glossy paper for print & then do lamination for more life ;)

I agree wholeheartedly...........I would definitely like to purchase a complete set of all 4 factions...................possibly even 2 sets so I can play my son. I find the gwent challenges in the game more exciting then the game itself. Now that I have about 99% of all the cards........the game is boring. Maybe you might consider making a game for just gwent.

I guess that waiting for a staff member to answer my question is a bit pretentious, ahah !

TH3WITCH3R, i thought of it a few days ago, but it would be a disaster; really...

gr8horned1, glad to hear you !

I even thought of asking a printer to take care of it, but I think it would be really expensive to print all the cards..

Thanks for your support, i hope so as well !

Really ? I am not into printing business really but I think 8 cards going to fit on A4 size paper or at least 6 & You can edit the images & make them black & white so its going to save you more money.

Ya I know its not going to give that royal feel but still I think its playable but still I don't know your country rates n all so hope for the best :)

Thanks for your advices TH3WITCH3R :)

I agree with you, it may not be that expansive. Though, i'm desesperately waiting for an official announce because, obviously, CD Projekt are the most qualified to take care of it.

Another thing is you also have to deal with copyright laws...

You can check out the ones that I got printed. The physical versions look great. All that is left is to make a wooden board with different rows and slots for numbers to add scores and some lights maybe for weather effects ;)

I've been quite a big lover of CDProjekt and The Witcher ever since the first game came out. One of the things which I loved beside their games was their ideas and concern for gamers / clients. Everything went fine for years and we were happy ;
but then, suddenly, without any foresign, they broke my feelings by deciding to add Gwent Deck Cards to Xbox One's Collector Edition, and Xbox CE only.
Why ? Because most people who would buy this CE on Xbox One would do so just in order to be able to sell their Exclusive physical Gwent cards at insane prices. And here we are, few months after release, amazon, ebay and other websites are full of unbelievable expensive Gwent Deck Cards.
I know this was a choice made for partnership and market reasons, but the problem is neither CDPR neither witcher fans took benefit from it.
For each Xbox One CE bought by someone, CDPR received 140€. The people sells just the cards and map for that price. Which means they're making money over CDPR's back. And true fans of the witcher like us (Who doesn't necessarily own Xbox ^^) just need to be very rich or forget the idea to play this cool witcher game with friends.
I remember a day when I read an interview of CDPR saying they give all players the same, they want to be fair with gamers and respect the trust we gave them.
If they want to satisfy customers, it would be smart for them to release Gwent Deck Cards for sale into their own shop at a decent price.
First, they would earn a lot of money, and secondly, they would cut the grass under profiteers' feet.

Having bought the Collector's Edition on PC one year before release, I was very angry and disappointed to learn that some people would get more things than I would for the same price. Now I don't believe in Santa, I knew they wouldn't give all CEs those Gwent Cards, but still it's unfair towards customers.
The best way to make things right for all is to make the Gwent Cards available for everyone, so that we can all have fun with them without needing to sell our mothers.

First I think they would need to look at balancing it a bit first.

I dont think the or monsters decks are very good. I think the Northern realms deck is the clear best and Nilfgaard a close second ( Ive only recently used Nilfgaard so it could well be equal or better but I will have to see).

One of the main problems is the neutral cards.
Ive been thinking about balancing these and this is what I have come up with ( reducing who can use them and how many) ( I play mtg allot but not other card games so maybe other people will have better ideas)
Zoltan: Norther realms/scoia'tael Emiel: Monsters/Northern realms Villentretenmerth: Monsters/Scoia'tael Yennefer: Nilfgaard ( only? or norther realms too?)
Geralt/Ciri All ( although maybe limit one only per deck?) Triss: Northern Realms Mysterious Elf: Monsters/Scoia'tael. Dandylion im thinking all? or just Northern realms and scoia'tael.

I havent found a way to balance the other cards ( if need though) and this is only a rough idea and it open to feedback.

Hi all,

I'd certainly throw money at CD Projekt if they decided to make the decks, board and rules....thing is these things aren't always fully profitable for the group if not enough are bought....

But I know me and my friends who all play Witcher 3 would chuck money at ya :)
