You place bets before each roll, winner takes all.

ONE RULE SIMPLIFIED!!!! :3

If you've 3 or more of the same shapes (numbers)! And your opponent is less..for example he has two : ll ll and the other are different numbers and you've three: ll ll ll and the other are different..You would win! Because you've three numbers are the same and he is less! And so on..This is one side of it! There is also the value of the numbers, if you've a mix of numbers there are rules for certain sets! Well, long ones too! You'd read them somewhere idk maybe in the manuals of the games!

edit: I quoted this from witcher-wiki for you since I fail at explaining lol

"winning combinations are (highest to lowest):
  • Five-of-a-kind – five dice showing the same value
  • Four-of-a-kind – four dice showing the same value
  • Full House – a pair and a three
  • Six-high straight – dice showing II, III, IV, V and VI
  • Five-high straight – dice showing I, II, III, IV and V
  • Three-of-a-kind – three dice showing the same value
  • Two pairs – dice showing two matched pairs of values
  • One pair – dice showing a single matched pair of values
"

One thing I disliked about it is that the dice poker game is fundamentally flawed because you always roll first. This creates situations where your enemy can do wild plays because he knows he looses otherwise and you can't counter that because it's his last roll. Basically he gets the chance to adjust to what you rolled two times and you can only do that once.

Example:
1. You roll 2 pairs
2. Your opponent rolls full house
3. You adjust and roll 3 dices (thus giving up 1 pair) and get 4 of a kind.
4. Your opponent adjusts, breaks his full house a gets 4 of a kind as well but a higher value one or 5 of a kind.
5. Opponent wins and you feel cheated.

I wish they determined who rolls first by a dice roll or something before the actual match.
