Any plans to have cash tournaments inside the game?

Hi, id like to know if you are planning or could think about adding cash tournaments inside the game. It would be cool to have something like the poker sites do, with quick tournaments (starts after X players join) and scheduled ones in different buy in levels. Not sure if it could have any legal problems tought, but i dont think so.

IMO it would put Gwent in a level higher than normal "esports", anybody can potentially win money playing the game just like poker, not only the guys that manage to get to the big tournaments and enter the top teams. Plus players that want to be "pro" would be able to participate in tournaments every day, increasing the chance of good players to actually make steady money playing.

Regards

edit. I never played witcher 3, but as i`ve been reading gwent in the game is played betting money vs NPCs and have tournament etc, so it might be already in the devs toughts to do it in the real world. Hope so.

What's the point of this tournament if the game will resort to one strategy: play Philippa last. Everybody will be playing one of the 2-3 winning strategies with a completely random result depending whether you lucked out on Philippa or Kambi+Hjalmar. First the game needs to be balanced a lot, second, if you don't want it to be a casino, then luck factor has to be reduced to the minimum.

Yes, im not talking about the balance or anything like this.. im talking about the game mode in the future.
Im sure they will balance things until there.

The idea of having poker-like tournaments and community is cool and could make more "pro-players" than esports create now.

In-game money gains would raise PEGI to 18 and in some countries brand it as a gambling game. This could cause some serious legal issues as some countries have laws that prohibit online monetary gains.

I think the legal aspects of this idea would be the biggest obstacle as, for instance, Polish law (which influences CDPR in some way I believe) forbids any kind of online cash-related gambling like poker sites, foreign betting services etc. so I believe Gwent would also become illegal. It would be weird if the game was outlawed in the country of origin of CDPR.
