Anyone Playing?

I've only been able to play a couple times, and the last month or two it just stays on the match making screen indefinitely.

I go on pretty regularly. At certain hours, you have to wait quite a while for other players so if you have time, try playing at different times.

Wait, are you on right now? Hopefully that matchmaking bug hasn't resurfaced.. Launcher did update again..

EDIT: Never mind, had someone join so matchmaking works fine.

There is a thread on gog.com (and here?)
of ppl trying to setup games (private games).

Post your times, and maybe the name of a private lobby,
ppl will reply with their interest/availability.
Then be there.

Got the matchmaking screen for 10 minutes - without any reaction. I will try again other time - but i have no ideat if something or what is happening... messages like "connected to server" or "100 Players online" would be helpful. Also a "60 seconds"-countdown followed by further instrcuctions "(try again later") would be great (think you got the intention)

Yes, these are good suggestions; nice QoL ideas.

An online player count or how many non-private games.

60 sec is too short, but some kind of idle or searching "timer", or a "ring" to say someone has joined you - for when we swap away or shrink it during the lobby wait.

Maybe a slideshow of art or cards from the game to "entertain" the players waiting in the lobby.

I've played 5 games with 038 of which none have gone to the end with all players, and only 1 has not locked me out before the end after everyone else left...

There is "due" an 039, and I'll "probably" (although knowing me... probably not) wait until it is released before trying again... I really like the new dynamic of 038+ but it is almost unplayable right now for a medium/long game.

Overall, there's not many active players. I'd guesstimate something like no more than 50 active players at any given 30-day interval. So if you're sitting in the lobby and no one's joining, it's probably because no one's online at the time.
