Appreciation and Feature Requests!

+
I just wanted to take a moment to express my apreciation for how far Cyberpunk 2077 has come. Despite it's initial challenges, it's clear that so much fine work and time have gone into making this game truly immersive. The breathtaking visuals to the deep storytelling, Night city feels alive in a way few other games do.

That being said, I’d love to see the game’s future content expand even further, incorporating features that deepen player interaction and enhance the living world. Here are a few ideas I think would add even more to the Cyberpunk experience:
  1. Robbery Mechanics
    • Borrowing from games like GTA, it would be great if players could rob stores or NPCs. This could lead to unique consequences, like being pursued by police or gangs.
  2. Police Interactions
    • Small actions like shoving a police officer could trigger a low-level response (a 1-star wanted level). It would create a more dynamic and responsive world.
  3. More Accessible Interiors
    • Expanding the number of businesses and interiors players can enter would expand immersion and create opportunities new events, hidden items, weapons, stickers for weapons etc. I see doors when driving through the city and think to myself "Man, I would love for the door not to be a prop, what a cool place to enter." I see doors with Red textures like its locked, but when approaching the door its also just a texture and no entry function.
  4. Stealing Consequences
    • A theft mechanic where getting caught triggers an altercation. This could escalate to a police response (2 stars) or even a firefight with shop owners, adding layers of risk.
  5. More Dynamic Gangs
    • Increased gang activity, such as large-scale fights, riots, or vehicular gang wars, would make Night City feel even more chaotic and alive. While Ive already encountered some vehicular gang fights, having more of these events would be incredible. Or entering a zone thats heavy with gang affiliations would trigger other gangs to approach if in the wrong territory
  6. Weapon Customization
    • More options for weapon skins and detailed customization would be amazing. Additionally, being able to toggle different firing modes (single shot, burst, full auto) for weapons would provide variety.

The work that’s already gone into Cyberpunk is something to be proud of, and these are just ideas that could build on an already fantastic foundation. I’m excited to see how the game grows and hope these suggestions click with others in the community or even the developers.

Thanks again to the team for creating such an amazing game.

I like Cyberpunk in it's current form. However, it is so oriented toward adult content that it cannot be played if kids or sensitive people are, or will be, around. My play time for this game is very limited as a result of this. I do not want you to to remove this content, but It would be nice if it had an option in the settings (that would allow mid game, at any time) to adjust how adult oriented the adds, audio, etc. is. "X", "R", or "PG-13" for example. This would allow the player to adjust and keep playing if kids come home or for any other reason as desired/needed. This could swap out the sexualy sugestive and graphic adds on the buildings and TVs with more family freindly adds/images/audio. Please incorporate this into an update, and into the upcoming Witcher games as well. You could even have age verification requirements, that allow true "X" option. This would also open the game up to a wider and slightly younger teen audience. Thank you.

Its an interesting suggestion, but for a game like Cyberpunk 2077, implementing a content-adjustment system like this would be nearly impossible without fundamentally altering the games design and themes.

The opening scenes on the splash screen alone depict heavy adult themes, such as drug addiction and physical violence, which are integral to the game's narrative and world-building. The mature content is not just surface level but deeply embedded in the characters, story arcs, and atmosphere that define the Cyberpunk universe.

Creating a toggle system for such content would require reworking massive portions of the game, from dialogue and visuals to core game play mechanics, essentially making a completely different game. While it’s a thoughtful idea to make games more accessible, Cyberpunk 2077 is unapologetically designed for a mature audience, and that identity is central to its appeal.

on this same point, the sex orgasm moaning by the woman, i am sure would be very awkward if your kids walked into the room.

maybe there could be an option to turn off that moaning, and simply blank/black out the sexy adds (wouldn't that actually make the game run faster? free up memory?) if you change the settings.
but yeah herboren is probably right. not really feasible. I'd say when the kids are around just switch to a different game. the good thing about games, they will still be there waiting for you when you do have time.

From a new player's perspective still finishing up my 1st playthrough as Street Kid Male on PS5 (no disc, downloaded it)

**** WARNING - full spoilers for the entire game below..

Appreciation:
Where to even start? The scope of scale of the game is insane. Again I can't believe it all fits on my PS5 (downloaded it from the playstation store, no disc.).

The graphics are great. The size of the map/city is insane (compare it to like, read dead redemption 2). The # of things you can do, the # of weapons (compare it to, by comparison, a simple game like Last of Us).

At first I loved the smartguns, then I got bored of them, but now I am back to liking and respecting them. Especially with the ba da ching shotgun.
The FPS aspects (the gunplay and fighting) is clean and fun. I dig it.

The racecar aspects, I love it. I love just driving around in these awesome cars and listening to the engines roar. You can find long straight stretches of road about 3km long to just go cruisin. its tight try it.

The photo mode is fun. The smart picture frames are fun for the apartments. I found this epic spot at north oaks sign (far east) up on the hill (right by the small group of cops) where I can park cars and take sexy photos of the cars with the night skyline in the background.

I think the plot itself is amazing. If it was a tv series or a long movie I would have loved it too.

*** HUGE like ** I love how laid back the game is. The game lends itself very well to just chilling, relaxing, and enjoying the game. There is almost no missions where it causes you anxiety such as 'You must get here within x time or else Tommy dies!', or 'you must destroy this item or download this file before Tommy escapes the base, or else!'. Stuff like that. For example Metal Gear Solid 5 (a game i love and played the sh1t out of) had several instances of time bound things etc. Which added excitement but also a lot of anxiety.

But CB77 you can just chill. Oh you walked up to a Yellow Quest and the fixer or whoever started talking to you? But you're not ready or you were in the middle of something else? Simply walk away. No foul. You can come back to it later. Other games you'd be stuck. cb77 I can go hit up a ripperdoc and change things up. Quests I can wait as long as I want to start them.

Escaping the cops is fairly easy. If it was harder to get away from cops that would be a massive detriment to the games open world enjoyment, because it would be annoying as heck.

Don’t gotta worry about friendly fire or accidentally killing a hostage also reduces anxiety

Finding loot (not dropped loot from dead enemies, I mean just finding stuff in the world) is easy and its easy to pickup. Bright colored symbols above boxes or lockers that have stuff in them. I like it. Much better than, say, red dead redemption 2 where you are constantly opening drawers which gets old real quick.

I love that you can equip any weapon to any slot, and you are not limited on the # of iconic weapons you can equip. I'm looking at YOU Destiny 1 (in Destiny 1 you can only equip 1 iconic/legendary weapon at a time).

I like the multiple endings aspect. So from a late savepoint you can try them all out. that is what i'm in the middle of now before i start my 2nd playthrough as female corpo.

Paying Keeanu Reeves millions to feature in the game was a no brainer win. With all the past movie roles he's been in (matrix, Jonny Nemonic, etc) he was the perfect casting for silverhand.

Choosing that beautiful backdrop from up on Misty's roof for the big decision moment was great. I have multiple screenshots with johnny and that skyline behind him.

The concept of the blackwall and the rogue AIs is very fun and a neat idea.

The variety of different main missions is a strong point. The Nomads quests using the huge Tank panzer, stuff like that is such a good way to mix it up.

Nobody really answered my question from a previous unrelated post about the airport/spaceport NCX (about whether it even existed before phantom liberty or not). But the PL mission sending so mi to the moon was very fun. Watching the rocket take off, very cool.

I love just sitting around in my apartments.

Criticisms:
PANAM DATING QUESTS. good lord. So freaking annoying having her text message notification constantly on. And its endless, you can't stop the date quest. It was cool the 1st few times, but I should not be constantly harassed by dating text messages. There should be an option to turn that off or hault it. I like my screen clean of notifications. This is probably my biggest pet peeve of the game. I love you Pan but stop the constant texting once in a while and let me play the game.

I still like the phantom liberty expansion, but I was very disappointed by many parts of it and honestly I just rushed through it as fast as I possibly could just to get it over with. I thought the characters, dialogue seemed a lot worse than the main game. Seemed very contrived and put together quickly in a slipshod way.
The way the new characters were introduced, it all seemed rushed and I really didn't care about any of them. I know they needed to use exposition dumps to introduce all of them, but I really could not care. When reed and alex especially were talking about their back stories, I was just skipping all of that.

Suggestions:
Allow players to permanently archive quests that you do not want to play so that its not constantly popping up on your screen.
If you want to postpone meeting takemura in the market, etc, you should be able to archive it and put an end to the constant Yellow pinging each time you finish a quest or sidequest. Very annoying. Yeah, I get it. that's one of the main quests. I'll do it later.

Fix the endings so that the dialogue/actions actually matches up with what is happening. This is referencing when you're at Mikoshi as Johnny.

Add more little things you can do in your apartments. I love being able to drink whiskey, smoke, light incense. Adding a few more would be a huge plus but I get that they are limited. wish I could cook some food.

A lot of people have said they want gun mods to be removable. I disagree with that. That would make it too easy. A big part of the fun, and re-play-ability, is searching for better guns and better gun rolls. It makes it more satisfying when you DO finally get a good weapon to drop with the # of slots you want etc. Then you need to carefully select which gun you want to put that high level or rare Mod onto. It makes them more special.

Its like gambling/casino. Hoping to find that particular gun, with the right setup. If it was all the same it would be boring and I would have less reason to keep playing the game over and over.

I am not 100% sure if Destiny 2 is still like this, but it was my understanding (at least when it 1st launched) that in Destiny 2 they got rid of non-legendary weapons having different "rolls". And made them all the same. Boring. That was one of the most fun aspects of Destiny 1. Always looking for that "God Roll" weapon with the best modifiers on it.

Along this same line of thinking, I also like how cb77 does the cyberware Stat Modifiers. Having to get lucky on the re-rolls. Again if it was easy it would be boring. I have sat around for like 3 hours just re-rolling cheap cyberware until the re-roll was something I liked, and then using that for the cyberware I actually am trying to upgrade. Very enjoyable. (note to new players, early in the game buy a ton of cheap cybeware so you have more chances to re-roll later on).

Thanks for reading my Tedx Talk....lol

I honestly think 3 things are still missing, that would boost the fantastic Cyberpunk immersion and experience. Since devs still makes updates with lost features, now rising up in impressive forms, I thought to say this for some time now.

Third person camera when talking to shop owners or static conversation (when there is no animation in 1st person going on). If you don't like it, deactivate it on the options. Merge that with another missing feature: make it so you can only upgrade and build items in a workbench, then make it 3rd person like most games do. Give apartments more reason to exist. Could also be an option turn on or off.

We should go physically to meet a fixer for the first time, and/or always call a fixer, to activate the next GIG---rather than going to the random place and activating it there. This idea seems more up-to-date with modern open-world and sci-fi. Give more reasons for fixers to exist, and make you know what the GIG is about before you arrive at the location.

The last thing I feel missing is further gratuitous mayhem. Admit it, we like to fight some specific factions because we like to hear music. But I barely find Militech. When I do its too fast. Imagine if you could bribe cops in an app, incite gang wars or find ultra-violent random events just to have a reason to fight. Or if those GIGs could be extended in objective.

Example: Instead of delivering something stolen on a drop-point so close to the area you just stole from, make it far away and spawn enemies to run after you. Action-ify these GIGs because right now they feel very short.

Well you got your wish we can't upgrade crap at all. Nor can we make cloths. Both were things we used to be able to do.

Now my request if you are going to have causal relationship give us more choices or make the romances more than one sex scene, make us play pre scav haunt V, make the glowing fishnets into some real clothing we can buy

Right, but blowing people's heads off with an oversized shotgun is okay for kids? Also, clearly CDPR doesn't care about opening the game up to a 'wider and younger audience' if they did, they would have made a different game.

If anything, I want MORE adult content: more casual encounters ala Meredith, more romances with graphic sex scenes, more joytoys... here's hoping Cyberpunk 2 will deliver all that
