Are LOOTS PERMANENT or if you drop them you lost them forever?

Had to drop 40 blunt axes (mostly found in first area, you know where there's corpses and horses everywhere) and around 15 swords, now I can't remember where I dropped them. Probably either near that first Quen statue or the bandit area around those parts. But I can't find them really.I'm still in that part after Geralt save a merchant scaring away the griffon, after that I explore and find stuff. Now I'm like every sword I'm overweight. But I wanna find them just in case I finally found a merchant to sell stuff. Or I should forget about them as there's more of them anyway? P.S. Also probably a stupid question LOL how do you turn this website brighter? It's so dim and grim, can you edit it? And why no spaces between paragraphs? Thanks guys.

No idea. I only got burdened once. Just called Roach, went to a fast travel and sold it to a merchant.

And you prolly shouldn't worry much about looking for it. That stuff wasn't worth much. I think it's not worth your time.
