Are lures worth using?

The way I see it, when you're in the vicinity of the enemy, they all swarm on Geralt. Do lures actually distract them from attacking him? I haven't used them yet.

Nah but I have used the lures to screw around. I once planted a crystal lure for harpies and meditated well I stood up and found myself surronded by all the harpies from the Quary.

Also the lures can attract almost if not all enemies in an area so for the Harpy feather quest you can be really lazy with just a few lures. Still I do wish lures were more useful such as place lures inside of traps instead of just manually placing them side by side or placing lures and monsters would attack anyone near the lures including other npcs.

Just look what happens when you meditate with lures out.

The harpy lure thing you did happen to me a couple of times.
Like put a harpy lure on the ground and harpy trap and then walk away and then meditate for least amount of time like an hour or something and wake up and there's dozens of harpies all around and one happen to pick up a trap and blow up a nest which was cool.

The bad thing is trying to kill them all without dying as they can all surround you which is very dangerous.

Nekker lures:
Place nekker lure before Nekker nest and then place Conflagration trap before lure so once you go near the nekker nest the nekker come up out of the ground and run towards the lure but hit the trip wires of the conflagration trap and BOOM dead nekkers.

If a nekker grabs a lure they just pretty much eat it straight away and it distracts one nekker for a moment for you to attack them or run away.

Sounds pretty fun. I'll have to play around with them in my next run.
