Are people still having extremely reduced performance since 1.07?

CPU: i7 4790K @4.8GHz
GPU: GTX 780Ti +168MHz

I was getting 90FPS before the update, now I get 35FPS with the same graphics settings.

Who else is having problems?

Performance was unchanged on my end. Try disabling your overclock. For a 780 ti to be racking up 90 fps, you must be pushing it pretty hard.

EIDT: Also, be sure you're in Fullscreen mode. The patch automatically restores all settings to default, including any user.settings tweaks your may have made.

I was getting 90 with my settings. I did not have the game maxed. I am in fullscreen. I already checked all settings and nothing has changed other than the update (or if it did I changed it back), and my frames are cut in half.

Same issue here but only in Novigrad. (970, high settings)

Before 1.07 = 75-80 FPS

After 1.07 = 45-50 FPS

Ok well this is going to sounds lame but I uninstalled the Beta drivers from NVIDIA (353.49) and reinstalled the most recent official release (353.30) and now I have my performance back. Please check on your own.

Can't be sure what is causing it. CDPR didn't outline in detail what sort of engine changes were made. Time to fiddle with things and see what happens.

Stutter is always caused by hardware calls that are out of sync with the framerate. Your best bet is to lock your frames at a value. I'm playing with a 980 ti and get terrible stutter unless I run:

In-game vsync ON, in-game frame limit set to 60, fullscreen, all Nvidia Control Panel settings to application-controlled except for AF at 16x. If I change even one of those settings, I get about a 0.5 second hang every 2 seconds. With my settings as described, it's smooth as silk with everything set to Ultra, Hairworks OFF. I can turn Hairworks on, but it causes a lot of texture pop-in. (I don't really like the way it looks, anyway -- effects are way overdone.)

It took a few hours of tweaking to find the sweet spot.

yes, plenty of people are. I've encountered at least 35 people with the same problem on various threads on here and on reddit.

I have a 4k monitor but I run the game at 1440p, I noticed that in 1.07 with the graphics settings set to Ultra it automatically changes the resolution to maximum (3840x2160). In 1.06 it just leaves the resolution at what you set it. Either way I was still having a multitude of problems with 1.07, I have an older Core i7 (2600K) but 16GB of RAM and two GTX 980s in SLI. I've rolled the game back to 1.06 where it runs perfectly, 1.07 is just a bad update, nothing short of malware.

I would be happy if it was only small drops in FPS, but I am running quite an old system. Before the update, I was able to run it on 1080p, Textures and Details on high, most of the other stuff on low at a bit under 30fps with the occasional lag (every 20 minutes or so).

After the update the game has been rendered unplayable for me, FPS drop to 0-1 every 10 seconds for about 5 seconds.

Lowering the graphics settings does not make any difference whatsoever, neither resolution nor anything else.

Same to slighly better fps in the 40 - 50fps range, full ultra settings.

AMD 8350
2 GTX 760 (w/ 4 gig vram each) in SLI
8 gig Ram

Huge exaggeration.

1.07 fixes a TON, a TOOOON, of things. It also increases performance in most cases, but unfortunately not all. Maybe I'm lucky, but I also know how to tweak, and I can now run it at full ultra settings (except a few of the post processing settings that I think make the game look worse, like sharpening, vignetting, chromatic aberration) on my 980Ti at 60 FPS avg.
