The only bugs I found in the game so far are some minor animation hitching, low voices for ambient conversations, graphical glitches that were cleared up with an NVidia driver patch; and some decal/texture flashing, but no game-breaking bugs or the like, though admittedly, I'm not that far in the game!

Yet with all the doom and disappointment, I'm not really surprised with the bugs and glitches as there has been virtually no AAA title that has ever come out unscathed; but in all fairness, this game is not nearly as bad as an andromeda/FO76 level of buggy messes!

I'll save judgements until after the first patch at least. Did it need more time, yea but literally NOBODY wanted another delay.

Get what you get for now, it's out

Yes, because the game doesn't support SLI, for a game 6 years in development when SLI was fairly popular, the hell?

I still remember the times when games were really tiny, yet still had a few dozens of hours of gameplay in them. It's all about how it's used.

True. Like Snake, Pacman or Tetris. Or an oldskool boardgame like chess. Or like my first ever played game on a pc: 'Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards.' Not a big world but hours of pleasure. And frustration to be honest, being not able to find the correct words to continue, looking it up on the internet and find out that 'preservative' is the word to be used for what is 'condoom' in Dutch. I played many many many games after that one. Mostly FPS games like the 'recent' Battlefield V, DOOM Eternal and COD:MW. Latest RPG i played was GTA V, which i didn't like all that much so i gave up un RPG's. But since i came across CP2077 a year ago i never was so thrilled to play a game. Pre-ordered this game a few months ago and it is now installing on my pc. Only consideration: i own a Aorus Geforce Xtreme RTX 2070 and a 1440p screen. Thinking about upgrading to a RTX 3070 to be able to enjoy RT @ 1440p but first i have to find out how it plays with my rig as it is.
I don't think i will be missing thing or features because the game, as far as i found out by seeing gameplay trailers and reading pre- and reviews, is already more jawdropping than every other game i played before, even compared to how jawdropping other games were in their perspective and time.

After like 4 hours, I put it down. Now I wait a few months until this mess is sorted out. Unfortunately I can't get a refund on xbox live. :-/

The state this game is in is honestly pathetic. I get it, it's a big game but maybe CDPR bit off more than they could chew.

The story makes no sense, at least the nomad one, which I started with. The driving is broken imho. The UI is confusing often nun functional and so much stuff is just not explained. I have no idea how the hacking mini game works, for example. All it says is, select symbols to match the pattern. If I do that, I fail.

The enemies are stupid bullet sponges. Even on "easy" I had to but like 2 pistol magazines into a random goon's head before he finally gave in. All while he stood around on some stairs, while shooting and me and reloading from time to time. No effort was made to get any kind of cover. And that is just when I left the first ripper doc.

The accessibility options are practical non existent. Even easy things like UI size. On a 55" FHD TV, the UI is barely readable and there is no way to increase the size.

And don't get me started on all the graphical glitches. Literally 10 seconds after I got control of my character, I had the first graphical glitches. In a scene that was showcased several times by CDPR. Not a single minute passed in the 4'ish hours where I did not experienced some kind of glitch, pop-in, missing textures, doubled models, misplaced models etc. Nothing game breaking, sure... But the game seems to get out off it's way to break immersion.

But at least we can choose the d-size.So 10/10 I guess.

Speaking of ratings. I can not understand how reviewers can give this anything above a 5/10. This is a game that is playable, but that where it ends right now. At least for me and a few others as well. I can't believe, that a game journalist, experienced all of this issues as thought to himself: "well good enough to be rated almost perfect".

I hope for patches in the near future. :-/ I'm not so much disappointed but sad.

I feel for the devs, who will be blamed for this, even tho, I'm pretty sure they bagged management to not release the game in this state.

Looks and plays like a game a decade old. Seriously are these graphics from 2020?

Buggy to the point of being ridiculous. I can't even key bind for starters.

Honestly I don't think I'll play - The Witcher series was brilliant, this leaves me cold - I couldn't give a shit about any of these characters.

Disappointed very.

Oh, I am. I encountered many bugs, and recorded some.
Maybe if CDPR would make their, dunno, QA happy, this would have worked out?

6 hours in:

tl;dr: Sadly, the game really excels at nothing.

The city is great but what's done with the open world is superficial (once you put some chaos into it, the open world stops being believable), the writing is good but I can't say I'm impressed so far. On a personal matter, I'm not really found of the setting and what they did with it.
First-person was a very, very good choice. The cinematography is great if not excellent on most of the dialogs/scene. Unfortunately, the fact that you see everything through V's eyes underlines every visual issues in the game and disrupts the immersion abruptly. And I really hope the next-gen patch on console provide a FOV slider.
Most gameplay aspects of the game are mediocre. Driving, melee, gunfight, hacking, stealth: nothing so far is impressive nor indicative of an upcoming depth.
I've yet to understand why I should craft something.
The IA is laughable.
The UI is terrible. Menuing is a chore. The world map is a disaster.
A lot of visual bugs everywhere, often breaking immersion. Got a visual bug on my first (!) action on the Nomad path, it was not a pleasing start at all, considering I've already seen the scene flawlessly delivered multiple times in gameplay trailers before.
Dildos everywhere, sex ads everywhere, the penis options in the character creation: I might be too old to play video games, but that's not funny. Showing titties everywhere is what you call "mature" when you're in your 10s or 20s. Past that it's childish.
Sometimes this game feels as hysterical as a Netflix show. You know, they keep on dramatizing, overreacting and emphasizing everything to keep you artificially hooked. CP77 writing and world building often has poor effects like that, this is very Rockstar-like, unfortunately.

A disappointment. I spent the year playing almost bugfree elegant games with excellent visuals and art direction (Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2, Demon's Souls, P5R, Disco Elysium...).
CP77 feels bloated, full of things that don't connect very well causing the game to lack focus and depth. Many times I thought "quantity over quality". In fact, that's an unfortunate and tasteless rollercoaster between the two. This game would have survived being more focused on some core refined aspects. An abundance of patches won't make a masterpiece out of a game bloated with barely functional and sometimes meaningless features. That's depressing.

The fact that they hide console footage on purpose for so long, that they provided only PC keys to journos using (of course...) the latest NVIDIA cards is direspectful. Because the "metacritic" score on consoles would tank the sales. That's a disappointment that goes beyond what CP77 finally is. I'm saying it again: in a year when there is confusion between console generations, not being cristal clear about what the player is getting by buying a PS4 or XBOX copy is dishonest and shady. I didn't expect that from CDPR. This is worst than the worst moves from Ubisoft.

I'm putting the game on hold until the next-gen patch on consoles. I surely don't recommend it in its current state, especially on PS4/PS5.

edit: kudos to the devs who had to suffer endless crunch time under such poor direction and management. You did your best, they did not.

Since I'm stucked at a tutorial because of an unresponding tag function (gamebreaking), I'm not disappointed so far. I was prepared for some bugs during D-day.

It couldn't be worse. I don't whether to find humour or sadness in that.

Bought this for PS4 Pro and i am very disappointed it! Cyberpunk 2077 just look HORRIBLE on PS4 Pro. It is so blurry and muddy you almost can't even see what happen on the screen! I feel myself betrayed with this s***! I mean what the hell did CDPR do to PS4/Xbox One versions of game because AC: Valhalla, Ghost Of Tsushima, God Of War, Last Of Us: Part 2 looks so sharp and so very good, so it's not about PS4 lack of power! CDPR just messed up this. It looks like playing technologically 20 years old game.

does this mean that the game is only playable when you have bought next gen technology for a huge amount of money and is not even available ?!

Yes, i am dissapointed. Optimization is absolutely terrible. I have recommend pc (i7 4770, gtx 1660, 16 gb ram, ssd). Even on medium in open world fps drops below 30..

I got to say that I'm a little disappointed with the customization of our character... I was expecting at least something more deep like WWE 2K19 or Saints Row. But the game is pure awesomeness

That's because the GTX 1660 only has 6 Gb of VRAM, it's no wonder it's struggling on medium, you need to run it on low as 6 Gb is a paltry amount for a game as demanding as this; I honestly don't even see why they listed that card as recommended at all, fuck NVidia for even developing that pos card when the gtx 1070 8Gb (Released in 2016) outperforms the GTX 1660 6-measly-Gb (Released in 2019)

The GTX 1660 was cheap for a reason, as it's a shit card that every single one of you should sell for a much better one as a GTX 1070/1080 until you can get a decent 3k series...

Performance could be better with RTX but I am not disappointed. I knew what I was getting in to with this game, I do not think other people knew and mostly followed along for the hype.

- I absolutely love the game by the way. But I have top end PC. You can not play such a demanding game with lower spec.

Those are admittedly, spectacularly bad but is that from an early reviewer's playthru or on a PS4/Xbox console? I ask as I have yet to experience bugs this bad... the extreme mesh/texture loading bugs are most likely from an HDD and not an SSD.

the YT vid said PS4 and PS5 gameplay, so I'm hardly surprised.
