Arena enemies repeats on level 30 in Dark Mode

I just noticed this when I reached fight #35. but yeah, ofcourse with better rewards. and they are a little strong than when you faced them at the beginning levels. I took the screenshot to prove that enemies just repeat at level 35 ( If I remember correctly, Endregas spawn at level 5) and before that are the Squirrels at level 34 (which spawns at level 4) so I'm pretty sure they just repeat. at least you'll have an idea on what is the strategy.

*screenshot was taken this afternoon, one of my "multiple attempts" in dark mode in which I died just the next level, lol. It's already 1:00am here (Philippines time)*

Crazy stuff. How much stronger are they? They must be quite strong if you died one level later!

sure they are a bit stronger, lol. maybe I lost focus, got somehow curious if the enemies really repeat and yeah, I lost my focus on level 36 when I was satisfied that they just repeat. lol. anyway, this was just taken in one of my attempts in Dark Mode and hell, that was one hell of a run to achieve my score. to think I finished just past midnight (Phillipines time). I'm a little bit sleepy already.

Same thing happened to me. I guess the devs just didn't add more rounds which causes the game to just restart the rounds. The enemies are the same, they aren't made any stronger or that's what I assume.

I was just trying the Arena out on Easy and they didn't really seem different. This basically makes it easy to exploit, I got almost 100k points until I gave up. Couldn't upload them either which people have a problem with right now.

so it's just the same with easy mode. so I guess that's it then. they really repeat and if you wanna get high scores, better learn on how to fight them and when you reach level 30, the spawns will be just the first 30 or 29 you fought. lol. :D

Well since it's safe to say you're one of the most experienced arena players...

how would you say does the combat hold up over time? Did you ever have to employ tactics, think outside the box, or is it just rolling around and spamming Quen over and over again like some say?

really depends on the enemies and situation. you could always check out who/what's your next wave of opponents will be. I say QUEN is very effective if they mob you. ofcourse you need to think on what to do, as I say it depends on the opponent. then after 30 levels, sure enough they will get a little tougher and I mean "little" tougher, but you'll just encounter the same set of opponents for another 30 levels and so on. so If you already got the hang of it, you'll have no difficulty of going on and on. I always use the armored bald guy (forgot his name) as buddy and use him as a bait. lol coz' he can take a lot of damage and he can deal some too. just be fast enough in thinking of what to do next. rolling around seems to work if many enemies are approaching you ofcourse. and btw, you could try changing different "signs", this will help you up a bit if you know who are you facing (just be fast enough in switching).

Quen sure helps, but you don't regen vigor while it's up and the other signs can be VERY useful. They put the arena on a cliff for a reason. ;) I think the only sign I don't ever use is Igni. At level 1 it does pitiful damage and is just a waste of vigor imo.

Vatt'ghem - you said you didn't use just Igni - so how do you use Axii? Don't you think converting one of your enemies to your side isn't really efficent? I mean the monster might be quite weak.

I always cast Quen combined with Yrden (it's a nice tactic to hire a sorceress and then cast Yrden close to her)

This happens on all difficulty modes. I personally started on easy and completed the first 30 waves twice, then died during the third cycle. The enemies definitely get more difficult each cycle. I think that the difficult level probably goes up one setting on each cycle, although I'm not sure how they can make it harder then dark mode.

Also, your arena score is incredibly impressive... Do you just play on Dark difficulty arena then?

EDIT: In terms of my own tactics, I never used the helper guys. I used all my cash to buy bombs for the swarm levels (rotfiends, drowners, nekkers, even gargoyles).

You guys are awesome!
I hope they come up with an option NOT to display your arena points in the forums.

< ---- This is embarassing :)

I've never understood why games have abandoned personal score boards. Lets face it, I can't compete with the rest of the world. But I should be allowed to compete with myself.

I played on Hard then moved to Dark mode immediately. It took me tons of attempts to achieve this score but yeah, That's why I didn't know that this happens in all difficulty. And about the tactics, It will all come down to what you are most comfortable at. Just practice on what to do in every waves. You'll get the hang of it after 30 waves.
