Unless there are literally negative effects if Geralt is wearing less bulky armour in cold areas, then I don't buy that argument.

When it gets cold in canada we wear giant coats to the point that we can barely move xD

That's the vibe I got from these designs. They seem tailored for really cold places.

I really doubt they are just for show but then again I am just speculating.

I am sure these are the basic "designs". Then there will color variations on these sets.Depending on region you might get different materials and visual designs on these basic designs.Just my guess.

Yeah....that would be my guess too.

Geralt looks like is about to cross Himalayas in some of those:lol:

But that's probably just the way it's drawn. I am fan of most of them.

He is also totally going after Moby Dick in that one where he only has a hook (8th one in the first row).

What I would love to know is how each and everyone of those armors would behave in a battle and/or how they would flap in the wind.
I cannot think of any game in the last decade that had advanced cloth physics. We've been stuck with the sale old Unreal Engine (and others) and consoles that hindered innovation of graphical fidelity, only a few devs dared to innovate or create their own engines.

They're concepts not actual armours present in the game :|

Hooded types and those which are long down to the knees, remind me of Assassin's Creed series. so I'd rather skip them !

I'm from a place that has cold winters with high humidity and chilling winds. Not even I bulk up as Geralt does on those pics. :p

And apparently Geralt isn't spending all his time in Skellige archipelago in Witcher 3. I never reckoned Novigrad and surrounding areas as a place of chilling winter. Witcher 3 will also take place in spring and summer like the previous titles.

I am sorry but.....only 27? :( Don't know who said it, and in which thread this was said, regarding Geralt having several layers of armour.

Not to bulk up like a yeti mind you, but Geralt having plain clothes under padded armour, and then more robust armour on top of that. Not chain- or full plate mail, but like the ones he had in Witcher 2.

I for one hope for a lot of choices and customisation in armour! :yes

Guys, again, it's concept art. None of those armors might not even of made it in the game, not to say that you can't judge the amount of armor sets that are going to be in the game based on said concept art.

The ones we've seen in trailers so far are either too bulky for a witcher or too tight to allow for comfortable, unrestricted movement.

I guess I can understand the cold weather argument for the bulkier armor, makes sense that cold weather might slowly sap Geralt's stamina or maybe we take a minor stat hit if we don't don appropriate clothing. I still hope we can import from TW2. That game is god tier in armor designs.

I'd like to have the option of pulling the hoodie down and putting it back on as I please. I hope CDPR implements a mechanic that allows you to do that.

looks alright. too much anime influence. say no to ninjas. last one is pretty good and believable.

where's the gambeson and plate armor seen in recent screenshots? definitely would like more of those as opposed to fancy stuff for kid brains.

Guess I'm not getting at least one witcher style fitting, Raven style armor. Too big, too bulky looks like the promo one got removed , heavy Druid influences for me. They all have this Mousesack or whoever the artwork Druid is vibe.
Well everybody complained about the slim fitting one, and Geralts figure in it. Just the same frustration again like the trenchcoat types in the Witcher 2.

If this is it I am not impressed, also if that's gonna be all why are we spoiled with it before the game is even out?
