Szypek's marvelous FAQ says, "Demo is plausible – after game’s premiere."People, please DO read the FAQ. Szypek has lovingly and painstakingly condensed a LOT of information into one place, and much has been announced already!JackintheGreen said:I dont remember now if this has been addressed earlier, but I was wondering if theres a chance we could be graced with a demo of the game, before release, say, in late April or something? Are you considering to release a demo or not at all? Thanks and Kudos for the great work so far...![]()
I have asked for a RED's definition of maturity, not if we have it, because I know we do.I have asked a very specific question, and I would like a very specific answer. Thanks for the answer anyway.MM360 said:@Netopier: Witcher 2 will be a very mature adventure, all of the elements you've mentioned will be in the game - you can bet on it![]()
No, not from the beginning. You'll have all other though.Little question about block. Will Geralt in Battle stance, block all enemies attacks although he is surrounded? And by that logic, does it matter which way he is faced or does he automaticly block an enemey who's trying to hit him in the back?BoreasMunbg said:Will heliotrop (the new sign) be available from the beginning?
Yes and there nothing wrong with being a hopeless romantic *winks and smiles*EiskaltesMonster said:My apologies if this has been asked somewhere already....We all know that sex is going to be part of the game, but will Geralt have an opportunity for romance?Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic =)
In the Prison Break video Geralt's movements looks a lot better, I think those movements in the pre beta video wasn't final. I hope so.Gvaz said:I just recently saw the dev video where you guys highlighted two minigames, the dice rolling (my favorite from the first!!) and arm wrestling, and I was going to ask:Geralt's walking animations (namely the "stop and go" animations) look extremely stiff in that video, have you done any work on that recently, and is that something you'd be willing to give a look at to make Geralt move about a bit more natural?
I would also like an answer to this as well. I noticed in the Prison Break videos posted a while ago that the crouching stop and go animation is pretty good. Why is it that the running stop and go animation is so abrupt and fast? It kind of kills the experience. Combat animations look to be much smoother than I expected but this stop and go running animation is just too quick. If that gets changed/fixed then I'm sure Geralt will appear to move more lifelike. Otherwise it's kind of a pain to view.Gvaz said:I just recently saw the dev video where you guys highlighted two minigames, the dice rolling (my favorite from the first!!) and arm wrestling, and I was going to ask:Geralt's walking animations (namely the "stop and go" animations) look extremely stiff in that video, have you done any work on that recently, and is that something you'd be willing to give a look at to make Geralt move about a bit more natural?
Sorry, if I wasn't clear enough. I'm not question the method how to block but rather if being surrounded would be an issue when you block. Let's say Geralt is in battle stance and enemies surround him. Will he if I choose to hold down the button and manually block, block all strikes no matter which direction they come from and no matter how many who tries to hit me simuntaneously, or will he in this situation only block the attacks coming in front of him (or the first one) and therefore be hit in the back? The reason I ask this, is that in some games you could pretty much drink coffee and watch the weather while pressing the block button and even as you're character is surrounded nothing will happen, cause he will block all attacks.MM360 said:@Johan S: You will have to block manually - there will be a special skill later in the game, after purchasing which, Geralt will block automatically.
