@Johan S: You will have to block manually - there will be a special skill later in the game, after purchasing which, Geralt will block automatically.

Sorry, if I wasn't clear enough. I'm not question the method how to block but rather if being surrounded would be an issue when you block. Let's say Geralt is in battle stance and enemies surround him. Will he if I choose to hold down the button and manually block, block all strikes no matter which direction they come from and no matter how many who tries to hit me simuntaneously, or will he in this situation only block the attacks coming in front of him (or the first one) and therefore be hit in the back? The reason I ask this, is that in some games you could pretty much drink coffee and watch the weather while pressing the block button and even as you're character is surrounded nothing will happen, cause he will block all attacks.

Well in this case... the last method mentioned by you applies here. Also, like I mentioned before, you will get hit from the back if you don't turn around and block. No easy mode here:)Hope this answer clears it up a bit.

Hi MM360,Thank you for answering the questions, but you seem to have missed mine. :)If you've got the time, could you please answer it? It's the question concerning the facial animations and lively cities, the only small problems I have with an otherwise great engine. Thanks!

I'm terribly sorry. I think I mentioned somewhere that quite often I start typing an answer and I have to leave my computer to do something and after I come back I might skip a question or two. In case this happens just remind me your question and I'll stand corrected:)Now, back to your question. Yes, animations are still being tweaked so I wouldn't worry about this. Same thing goes for populating cities. Various things are being added all the time.

To select an enemy we want to attack, do we press a key to 'lock' onto that enemy? or do we simply mouse over and press attack, as we did in TW1?Thanks again, you're patiently answering a lot of questions here.~edit~ whoops, TW1, not TW2. I keep doing this. :p

@slimgrin: From what I've played so far it's mouse over and attack. No worries, this thread is cakewalk in comparison to its polish counterpart;D

Something just hit me. Can you kill children in TW 2? (If there are any that is)I hate the fact that they run around like idiots in games and you can't even tell them to drop dead. And no. I do not picture Geralt as a childkiller, though if kids do indeed exist in game I don't want them to run around as disturbing goblings annoying me when I do quests or explore the world. Also is there a reason to earn Oren in TW 2 since you'll be able to loot more than in TW 1? I mean will we just sit with a buttload of cash with nothing to spend it on?

@topieraThere is a cross hair in the middle of the screen which is controlled by the mouse/camera in TW1. Basically, I was just asking if targeting worked like it did in the first game, and MM360 seemed to confirm that it did. I asked this because some games require you to highlight an enemy, and then click a button to lock onto that enemy. Thereafter every strike is automatically directed at that enemy. I think Devil May Cry worked this way. I prefer the targeting system of TW1.

the crosshair must be for magic. not sword slashing. i dont think there is any mouse cursor. as far as i can see TW2 is a LOT like Fable in it's combat system. or arcania. or AC. u cant be using any crosshair during combat because once u fight than geralt can be facing towards the camera. it's not an over the shoulder camera that stays behind geralt. it's an overhead camera that shows geralt from above. looking at the Gametrailers walkthrough, part 2, i see that the enemy geralt is locked into is marked with a small orange icon on his chest. once u move towards another enemy the orange icon is changing to him. it's like it works in AC and fable and batman:AA and most other action games. i think it is nothing like TW1 (in a good way) which makes me not understand what MM360 was saying....

Mouse over attacks doesn't make sense. In the videos they've shown with combat there are moments where Geralt attacks the enemy behind him with a sort of backwards jab while the camera/cursor is still pointing forward. Can you clarify that? If it's mouse over enemies to attack then you will only ever attack enemies directly in front of you and the videos have shown geralt attacking from all angles.

I find this a little strange as i have asked a similar question and MM360 did not give a clear answer. Can someone clarify please as we are getting mixed up how an enemy selection is made?

Games like Deus Ex and Deus Ex Invisible War as well as Balder's Gate had killable children in them.As deplorable as the act its it wasn't the selling point of those games but it was still in them.Of course those are old games back before the gaming industry is as it is today. It would be a incredibly hard sell now a days but games like Dead Island seem to be pushing the envelope.(At least in the trailer)My question is if Geralt is going to get his memory back will it spoil the books for the people who have not read them yet? Only two have been translated into english so far and it will be a few more years before they are all translated.

Is it because of USRB?And is this publishing issue only inb US, or in the whole world. I'd like this subject to be explained more fullyAnd i'll post my question again:How would RED define maturity in TW2?I have asked for a RED's definition of maturity, not if we have it, because I know we do.

No because the game TW1 takes place 5 years after the last book so it would follow that same path keep in mind that TW2 AOK take place right after the ending of TW1.

I guess what I meant was when he finally recalls all that he had forgotten is it going to be him saying "I did this back years ago and then this a few years later" I know pretty much how things went for him in the books through sniffing for clues in the first game but they were still vage .
