Yeesh! You can't confirm quick saves at this late stage, MM360? I can't imagine completing TW1, or just about any RPG, without quick saves.
Id like to know this as well.hmv said:Any plans for Witcher 2 to make an appearance during GDC this week?
There are sometimes dialog options based on your specialty (Sword, Sign, or Alchemy) but I haven't seen them mention any skills specific to speech yet.Goranhr said:Are there any "persuasion" skills, for extra dialogue options? Thanks
This got me thinking..What do witchers do with the gold they make from killing monsters? I know they have need of food, drink all that kinda thing but I take it that they make a lot of cash as a whole group. So they didnt seem to fix up Kara Morin so are they like Conan that they work till they get a lot of coin then eat, drink and gamble it all away, then start again.JohanS said:What purpose will orens have in TW 2? Since you now can loot enemies and stack more items than before will we still have a purpose saving orens? For quests, books, better gear etc. The problem in the first game is that money quickly (after chapter 2 or so) becomes a waste. It feels more intruging if you are a bit broke and need to valuate what you want to buy rather than just buying everything head on.Also, I figure she won't be in the game but I'd really love it if Abigail made an entrance. She, the Vodyanoi and the Fisher King are the most charming apperances in TW 1.
I would also like to know the answer to this question. I know there are some very active fans on this forum that liked the old system but i don't think their judgment is fair. The truth is that the combat system held back a lot of people including myself. After thinking it trough i realize that the main issue is in the timing, the combo's...the system was very unforgiving and unappeasable. And i think the developers realized this issue too. Second the hard stance, fast stance and group style did not work at all. It think the developers did away with that too. Third: combat was to generic: developers are adding finishing moves and qte. Personally i do not understand the commotion that has risen about this qte. If it's fun, why not add it. The fact that the game can be played using a controller lets me think that you won't have to select an opponent as you did in the first game ( at least when using a controller) and frankly i think that might be a good thing. QUESTION: is the same as above. Can you confirm anything about the targeting system and is there a difference when using a mouse or a controller. Thank you very much.fchopin said:I find this a little strange as i have asked a similar question and MM360 did not give a clear answer. Can someone clarify please as we are getting mixed up how an enemy selection is made?fchopin said:@topieraThere is a cross hair in the middle of the screen which is controlled by the mouse/camera in TW1. Basically, I was just asking if targeting worked like it did in the first game, and MM360 seemed to confirm that it did. I asked this because some games require you to highlight an enemy, and then click a button to lock onto that enemy. Thereafter every strike is automatically directed at that enemy. I think Devil May Cry worked this way. I prefer the targeting system of TW1.
