Question to the devs:I posted this already but as it's a slightly in depth question I am reposting here. With enhancements such as "cut at the jugular" in the manual it states "enhancements are not cumulative"Does this mean that having cut at the jugular I and II is pointless?Do i simply get the highest bonus %?Or do they add up i.e 15%(level1) + 15%(level2) = +30% bleeding?Or do they stack i.e 15% X 15% = 32.5%Is there ever any point in having more than 1 level in each enhancement? Thanks for your time and congratualtions on making a great game!

Ech level extennsions are applied to its level (combo). So Lvl 1 bleeding pluses are increasing bleeding in first combo, Lvl2 are increasing bleeding in second combo (combo chain is much more effective).

Hello everyone,Seeing as I'm from Belgium, I was wondering if there are any limitations or censorship integrated in the Belgian version of the game? I really hope not, think the artwork looks great from the scarcelly cladded ladies ;DOh, by the way, I actually never played an RPG game before, always been an RTS or RTS/TBS player, after looking at all the videos and reading as much as possible about this game, it really convinced me to give this a try.So, thanks goes to CDProjekt for finally broadening my horizon ;)

I have already posted this but I wish to post it again, to bring it to the DEVs notice here and a few other places.I have a question for the DEVS .Has CDPR or Atari sent a promotional copy to the American cable channel G4TV to be promoted/reviewed?I know X-play will review this game most likely anyway but I was wondering if there was any promotional thing set up with G4.For the DEVs and other non-american members (and some Americans as well) who may not know what that channel is or who they are or have discovered them in their numinous web items, G4TV is an extended (non-basic) cable channel that focuses on Games,Tech,Movies and other Pop Culture. While they do have plenty of minors that watch, their main demographic is 18-35 and are big in some youth demographics particularly among college crowds although they also have plenty of 35+ people who watch("Old School") too. They have a fairly big presence on the net and in the blogoshere. They have 2 primary shows that are their core programs, Attack of the Show (that is the actual name) and X-Play. AOTS is a variety news, reviews, interviews and other that focuses on Games,Tech,Movies and other Pop Culture. X-play (for eXtended play) is a video game news, reviews and some previews show solely, they cover both PC and console games. To give a couple of examples of what I mean by promotional copy, last week a promo for Tim Schaefer's new game "Brutal Legend" was shown with a turn table controller they got a bit excited about it and some more buzz was created about it.And last year they had on one of the 3 creators of "Project Offset" debut that game some, which created a lot of buzz for it. Basically that channel and the shows AOTS and X-Play can create critical mass word of mouth and more direct marketing of "buzz worthy" items with their TV or Web viewers who can explode forums and light the blogosphere on fire. IF they could be convinced to showcase "The Witcher" It could be a HUGE help in sales to convince people to give this game a chance who may not be RPG players or more console centric players or don't mess with games from Eastern Europe because they would ignorantly believe they can't be any good. As well as inform the general gaming community of the existence of "The Witcher" to give it more exposure and a lessen the "WTF is "The Witcher"? response. Since the NA release is the 30th and that is next Tuesday a nice thing can be set up because AOTS does in their "Attack This" segment recommendations for top games that come out that week on their Tuesday show, So they can recommend the game on the day it hits shelves. Or another suggestion is AOTS often shows in the last few minutes of the show a trailer of a game or a movie that they are excited about. And then a short comment on it like "Man ,I'm going to get this!!!", or "Can't Wait." ,or Kevin (one of the hosts) just shakes his head in awe. If CDPR or Atari could get them to play the E3 Cinematic trailer with the Shtriga the version with the redhead that claws at the viewer in the end or the one form the official website that plays before you enter it. That would generate some buzz big time and Kevin and the 2 hosts of X-play are Old School enough to see a gem when they see one and endorse it. Even though that channel does make a big deal out of the BIG NAME titles like Halo 3. I offer these suggestions humbly to CDPR and Atari so that this Diamond in the Rough of a game won't be swallowed by the BIG NAMES of this season and fall off the radar. And ask that CDPR try to and/or Atari try to make this happen, and to the loyal members of this forum to invade G4's forums,blogs,e-mail,video viewer mail, ect to get them to pay more then just passing attention to "The Witcher".Thanks. Grin

I have a Question for the Devs, with the release of the 1.1 patch and then the 1.1a patch will there be another patch released on the 30th for the NA U.S. release like the 1.1 patch for the 26th EU release. Like a 1.2 or 1.1b patch. And will it have fixes for the 3 most common complaints(other then a little wonky cam & no walk with OTS view)1. A disable on the auto save function.2. Improved Lip Sync optimization.3. Much faster loading times on the loading screens. Please consider this and let us know and if not the 30th then will there be one within a few days after?P.S. I know what the 1.1 patch does but what does the 1.1a patch do other then that thing with 5ch bug? Devs, anyone please let me know, like describe it or link with a readme thanks.

Good ideas Tolkien..But please... PLEASE... will you format your posts better from now on? It makes them much easier to read (probably easier for developers to read too).

okay i have a question too,and don't worry it's a serious one :DAbout mods:I"ve read at registering the game that we would have the possibility to get extra extensions,media,mp3 etc,but i'm wondering:For the mods/extensions:Do we need to pay for them?Like Atari does for some NWN mods and Bethesda for their Morrowind/Oblivion mods?

Well just few characters needed to be modified - some certain parts needed to be hidden by hairs and cloth;). Two monsters and one NPC to be precise.

Is that it? You didn't have to remove dialogue or quests? Because if so I'll buy the American version. I already know what genitals look like. ;)

All dialogues and quests are intact in the US version. Only some graphical assets had to be modified. So yes, I think you should buy the game ;)

People keep saying in various places that quests are censored or removed and that finishing moves are removed in the US version, yet Garnek's post from earlier in the month seems to pretty explicitly say that the US version is exactly the same the uncensored version except for 3 character models and censored versions of the cards. Is this still true and people are just overreacting or did something change since that initial post by Garnek? With the US release now happening, can we just get one final, definitive statement from one of the devs that the above is still true (i.e. 3 character models and censored cards being the only differences between the two versions)? Also, will the currently available 1.1a patch work on the US version or will we have to wait for US version of the patch? Thanks.

I don't think the people that bought the U.S. version are complaining because of what was censored ... just that it was censored period. Most of us Americans don't like to be told what we can and cannot watch, read, listen to or think. I do wish however that CD Projekt would offer a "patch" or "update" so those of us that want to play the uncensored version can.

experimenting with potion making. Are the potions described in the manual the only ones in the game or can you discover hidden ones as well? The reason I'm asking is that the total number of possible combinations is 9330 and I just haven't found that many bases or ingredients (especially for the 7776 potions needing 5 ingredients).

Hi everyone ;D, dont know how easy or impossible it would be but just thought of an idea fro some sort of replay action for fight sequences. The movment is so fluid and fast paced I would sometimes like to gp back over the fight ive just had to look at it from diffrent angles :), this may help in decifering diffrent tactics for hard battles also. Just a thought though and like I said i have no idea how hard this would be to implement? ;D

What the whole point with axes and daggers? Well, okay they looks nice, but...!There is no bonus using them, right? +dick size. ;DWhy didn't you added any skills for them like with swords? Throwing daggers would have been nice... :(
