Yearly cash in sequel it's what they do.

Different smaller teams work on the games with a sub-title (Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Revelations and now Black Flag). Assassin's Creed: Black Flag is quite possibly already in development for quite a while now. So don't think it's a rushed game. Assassin's Creed games never are. Well, Revelations was rushed maybe, or at least it felt rushed to me. Brotherhood was amazing though.

Well the ending of AC3 felt kind of rushed, and awkward!

You mean Desmond's ending? Yeah, but you know, when DOESN'T a trilogy ending suck? Honestly, a shitty ending to a game trilogy seems to be the standard these days.

But really, I never gave a damn about Desmond or any of his friends. I always played Assassin's Creed for the actual assassin characters (Altair, Ezio and Connor) and their own stories.

Well actually I was talking about Connor's, I don't give a rat's ass about Desmond either . While not actually that bad, it certainly didn't reach the height of Ezio's ending or Altair's. It felt like the end of a drama movie to me!

I understand that they want to keep classic uniform, but a pirate in assassin's costume looks stupid.

Huge AC fan here, but I dislike this premise.

Assassins are not fucking pirates. If I get another Pirate of the Carribean 3 plot of pirates = awesome = assassins and law enforcement = bad = Templars, I'm going to puke. And of all settings and historical events, they didn't find anything better than the Carribean? I mean for fuck's sake you have the French Revolution begging for an AC game. How about the Far East?

And another male? We already had 5 games with a guy, enough already, I want a female assassin that's not relegated to a PS vista.

If it's the same writing team of AC3, then I have some faith. But I can't escape the feeling that they are doing all this to capitalize on AC3's naval missions and that's a horrible way to decide on a setting.

Just getting into this series with AC2, and I agree there are better settings than the Caribbean - Victorian London, Russian revolution, WW2 Germany. I also strongly agree that playing a female assassin (Matahari?) would bring a whole new dynamic, including different gameplay opportunities. I'm surprised they haven't done it yet.

I feel the same way. High time they explore an Asian setting! And yes, a female character for a change.

Even if the setting/history is interesting it's really just a backdrop for the less interesting main plot that it almost doesn't matter.

Can't understand the fuss about these games. They appear completely mediocre to me. Got ac1 on gog, played it for 4-6 hours, get bored and couldn't care less.

AC2 is quite a bit better, nothing too special though. I'd rather just play historical assassins throughout history without the sci-fi twist, which I find odd. The writing is passable, but the characters have no impact on me and there's a lack of atmosphere in the setting. It doesn't really feel like renaissance Italy to me..too clean and pretty. The lack of a stealth mechanic is a big negative. I mean, this is an assassin game.

Tried it and didn't like it. Terrible controls and boring missions. Ironically I paid more for it than AC2. I think GoG has it overpriced.

They could just drop the Assassin Creed brand and create new IP from what it looks like it could become nice brand new franchise.

Btw If I would fight against few unknown enemies I would take my hoody off. I know it looks cool for some and all but its not funny anymore.

Disagree almost entirely. The almost is because I think this appies for AC2 and Brotherhood. But it does not apply to AC1, Revelations and AC3, which have a good plot, great story, and very cool characters.
