All the thoughts of a French Revolutionary assassin has gotten me riled up. I still need to play IV, so I have a question for those of you that have.

Should I go ahead and get it for my 360(on sale for 30 usd on Amazon) or wait until I get a ps4?

The PC version is roughly the same as the PS4 version. It all depends if you want to have Uplay on your computer, So if you want to get it on PS4, then that's fine as you are getting the same Graphical quality as the PC version. The Xbox 360 one, from what I've seen, looks nowhere near as good.

I'll wait then. More of a couch game series for me. Still half price on a new copy isn't too shabby.

At least I'll have something to play on it when I get it.

Cheers.

I tried AC1 at my ex's and played AC2. Thought the climbing was fun. Story alright except for the supernatural parts. Fighting alright, nothing too exciting. Got bored by the end of AC2 and had trouble finishing it because of that. Gameplay idea could have much more potential. I think I would have more enjoyed it, or was looking for an Indiana Jones (movie) like game, storywise. Since the original AC2 it has been milked to death and then even further. The best setting doesn't help you, if the story is stupid, the gameplay average and characters are meh. I always felt underwhelmed with the execution. (Also for later parts, where I only got my impressions on YouTube.)

There could be at least ONE female assassin in the game, though, and it would be quite historically correct... :p

It's easier CDPR give us a female main character than Ubisoft.... (Ciriously, of course)

Just an in-engine cut scene. Nicely done and the graphics are stunning....except this is Ubisoft. I'll remain skeptical unless the final game looks like this. The French revolution is the ideal setting for this type of game. I really want to get into the AC series but 1 and 2 underwhelmed me with shoddy PC controls and repetitive gameplay. I was enjoying 3 until I hit the Boston area and my frame rate tanked due to shitty optimization.

Qu'ils mangent de la brioche [Let them eat cake]! We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand! So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!

Considering they downgraded Watch Dogs, I would take anything Ubisoft says about the graphical fidelity with a grain of salt. Hell, everyone in the industry fucking lies about how their games look. But it's interesting. I wonder if next-gen is just proving to be a waste of money. The amount of money that's poured into a game these days is ludicrous and the graphical improvements are almost pathetically small. Could it be that the demand for better visual standards is hurting the development of the games.

Unity only is released on Next Gen consoles. Black Flag and WD were/get also released on old gen ( and WiiU? )
I wont believe it until I see it, but chances are higher than for Watch_Dogs.

It is in-game alright as me and a few others noticed it has 'signs' of it like the rooftop and window reflections that are just too ugly to be CGI.

well, so was Watch_Dogs 2012 or The Division.

Obviously its in-engine.
Most likely in Dev Envoirenment with everything at max, rendered on a monster PC.

And that isn't my point.

My point was it isn't CGI as it may seem at first.

I can't wait to see what historical figures they will dumb down this time.
I guess Louis XVI will be a fat, greedy, stupid guy and Robespierre a kind hero.
