I confess, I jumped the gun a bit too soon. I dislike Ubisoft in general and when you dislike something you easily find new reasons to be irritated. So now I'm trying to understand this microtransactions issue a bit better because I realize I may have misinterpreted it. I want to get my facts straight.
Someone who received a copy for review noted that the microtransactions feature is down and the servers are offline.
This in turn led people to believe Ubisoft intentionally kept the servers down to deceive people about the amount of microtransactions in the game.
Am I on course so far? If so, what I'm wondering is - even if the servers were down and you couldn't actually pay, a reviewer would still see that this or that action in the game required an online server. Meaning, it required payment, even if the procedure was unavailable. In that case, it's not misleading about the amount of microtransactions, right?
What am I missing here?
