Attention DEVS!

Needless to say the witcher's I & II are the best modern role playing games to date. If there is one company that can make my dreams come true it is CD Projekt Red. Of course my dreams are for you guys to somehow get the rights to the Black Isle masterpiece "Planescape Torment" and do a faithful remake with "updated my journal" I mean updated graphics(even though I absolutely love the original graphics) I do believe it could be even better in 3D. Or make a game set in the Planes as you guys are the only big company out there that could do Sigil 3D Justice.
This painting is inspired by 3 of my favorite games with the hope that one day you guys will make my dreams come true:)
oh and by the way... If ever you need an artist to paint stuff for this project, I am your man!

If there is any company out there that could do the best game ever made justice in terms of a re-make, it is definitely CD Projekt RED - CDP started out localising games for Poland, after all; Planescape: Torment being their magnum opus. On the other hand, I'm not sure it even needs a re-make, let alone one to convert it into 3D. The art direction is still fantastic, to this day, and with user-made mods you can run it in widescreen, at higher resolutions. That being said, I would obviously not complain if CDPR started a project like this.

Actually for a very long time I've been on the fence on whether or not a remake of Planescape would be a good or a bad thing. To me it always felt that the artistry, thought, love and care that went into each little building/location etc.. in Planescape surpassed even other greats like Baldur's Gate 2. Obviously the writing in PT is as good as it gets in video games but somehow the art style merged perfectly with the writing. A remake would absolutely require the same thought, love and care to details as the original, the same or very similar art style, music(and don't get me started on how good the music is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4QINNwR6Nw :) to stay very true to the original (but just in 3D:). If you look at some of the insanely atmospheric 3D cut scenes from the game itself you can see that if those great devs from back 1999 had the power of today's 3D engines.. well it's crazy to think what they could have done.

Unfortunately the major problem in remaking a game like PT is that all games are voice acted these days. Let's face it Planescape Torment was more of a book then a game. The act of reading in that game lets your own imagination(based on your own experiences blah blah blah... create your own vision of how some things should be, & blah..) And as reading is kind a lost art these days, recreating "Torment" is a problem. Personally I would love really good 3D graphics and still "read" the majority of the dialogue options. Of course I know that this approach would totally not work(sell) today. Anyways while the Witcher 1 & 2!! were totally awesome games I firmly believe the CDPR has what it takes to make a game just as great as Torment. CDPR after the Witcher 3 please make a game set in the planes:)
