ATTENTIONS: MODS WILL NOT WORK WITCH PATCH 1.10!

Probably the most of you will know already that at the moment mods will not work with the newst patch (1.10)

Just wanted to inform everyone that the mods needs to be updated, or you have to stay at your recent game version and not update if you still want to use your mods.

That's not generally true - I still have 'lore friendly witchers', 'no dirty screen' and some other small mods active. Other stuff which modifies scripts will most probably not work, though. I got errors with 'jumping in shallow water', 'main map zoom', 'slots slots slots', and 'griffin armor redesign'.

Yes some mods like lore fiendly witchers and no talk icon still work and i gues stuff like texture mods will work too, but mods which affect thing changed by the patch like hud will not work.

Maybe we can start a list of which mods still work with patch 1.10?

No talk icon : http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/339/?

Lore-friendly Witchers: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/390/?

Everyone please feel free to add mods that still work to the list.

That's a weird one. Definitely something CDPR needs to fix.

That's my same exactly problem...no way to run it...i think problem is the dxgi.dll file...if i use the one in the reshade set the game even won't starts...if i let it download\repair from GOG game runs fine...but won't load reshade...

To let the game load reshade and sweetfx just delete the file d3d11.dll after install reshade...it worked for me!

Worked for me too.

I use reshade 1.0 with sweetfx 2.0 beta 8
Rename d3d11.dll to d3d11.dll-old
Rename dxgi.dll to dxgi.dll-old
Rename ReShade64.dll to dxgi.dll

Thanks a lot.

Thank you very much for the suggestions, guys, but I tried the exact same thing multiple times and yes, the game does start, ReShade/SweetFX loads and gets enabled - everything works fine in the main menu - but when I try to load a saved game I get an infinite loading screen and I always end up needing to kill the Witcher 3 process from Task Manager! :eek:uch:

I just can't play the game without SweetFX anymore, that's how much I love the visual improvements it brings. Why do CDPR keep modifying their .dll files?! :crybaby:

At the bottom of this thread, @Mezziaz has a list going of some mods that are getting updated or need to be updated. Feel free to add any to the thread.

As a general rule-of-thumb for using mods:

Whenever a game receives a version update, it's a good idea to disable/uninstall any mods, then reload/re-save your games so they're saved in a clean state. Following that, download and install the update.

Changes to code and scripts are almost sure to cause problems with mods based on prior versions.

Yes. In fact my question would surely be, with a patch coming, why wouldn't you do that?

Emptying my Mods folder was the first thing I did, as soon as I saw Marcin's post.
