Audio bug, NPC do not finish whole sentences.

After recent patches NPC do not finish their sentences. For example I talk with Keira and she skips last word in her sentences. Geralt sometimes does the same. Really annoying bug. Anyone else have it? Or is it related to sound settings on my system? I just done whole PC format and installed fresh game.

I had the same problem once with the original Mass Effect. It wound up being a codec issue.

Post your specs?

Do the characters lip sync properly? Does it happen during in-game cutscenes, during active gameplay, or both?

Do you use any music or sound production software? Download any random video or mp3 players lately?

i7 4790k
ASUS Asus Maximus VII Hero
2x GTX 980 in SLI
Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus 7.1 PCI-E Soundcard

I recently moved to Windows 10 from 8.1 and I think the issue started after upgrade to new Windows. The bug happens only in cutscenes when I talk with NPCs. Lip sync looks fine. Codec pack is up to date. The control panel for Xonar is what I use to set my sound settings but it never was an issue. It does not happen in other games.

It doesn't have to happen in other games, just this one (amiright?).

Windows 10 is the culprit (I'm putting my chips on the table and going all in), and it's likely a driver issue or a DriectX issue. ASUS is usually pretty good about this stuff, though. In the meantime, have you tried killing the surround settings and running in normal speaker mode?

Only Witcher 3 got this issue. I did test on different sound settings before, including using only headphones with surround turned off, and problem still occur. The Windows 10 driver is not available for the sound card yet so maybe here is an issue.

I am sure that's it. Hang in there! (I can recommend Pillars of Eternity, Shadows of Mordor, or Starpoint Gemini 2 if you need a break. :) )

I decided to comeback here, after longer cutscene, the lips are very much out sync on top of the not finishing the sentences.
