The most annoying thing to me is the subtitles automaticly kick in when speaking foreign languages regardless you killed all subtitles. This is no movie, if i want to disable them i should be able to. Ever since the 1.12 version of the game, you cant get rid of it. They need to add option to turn that off if we choose to because it so annoying, especialy in pacifica, with subtitles all over the place. Makes me almost want to quit playing the game.

Edit:
Tested backup versions of game all the way from 1.12, 1.5, 1.6, 2.3 and 2.31
1.5 and 1.6, cant kill world interaction markers period.
2.3 cant get rid of subtitles speaking foreign languages such as spanish or japanese even after killing all subtitles and mini map, ammo counter and you name it.

When do they plan on getting anything fixed?

I doubt that's a bug. Just like in a film, subtitles may appear in key scenes when another language is being used if the creator wants the authenticity of the actual language but still needs to ensure the audience understands the dialogue.

Still, we should have option to disable it if we chose to. Some people can understand whats going on without overhead titles popping up all over the place in pacifica and spend more time reading whats being said than paying attention to what we are doing. Atleast older versions we could kill it

You can try sending it into support. Or bring it up in Modding discussions. There might be an .ini or .cfg tweak that will do it.

I tried support and never heard anything since the release. Same thing in 2.31 update.
Figured was a mod doing it. Reinstalled game, with no mods, started fresh game, disabled all subtitles, minimap, you name it and same thing.
All i can say is its the most annoying feature put into any game in personal opinion and i'm sure i'm not the only person to feel that way.
Maybe i get lucky and they fix it in an update some day.

well, not entirely wrong.
ever since the 1.12 update, someone came up with the brite idea for auto translate and show subtitles when speaking foreign language to give the game the movie immersion.
what they didnt tell you is it can be disabled, but is hidden in the files.
its no mod, but i had to dig through files to find the answer.
they disabled a lot of the settings they dont want you to change by default, so you have to do it on your own.

r6/config/settings/options.json has to be edited with notepad++ or equivalent to allow you to show options not supposed to change but exist.
open options.json file, scroll down to here: "group_name": "/accessibility/subtitles",
look here: "name": "CinematicForceKiroshiTexts",
is disable saying false by default in vanilla game.
change all settings under: "group_name": "/accessibility/subtitles", to true
once in game, you now have the ability to disable any and all as you please.
this way, its no mod, you simply have the choice now.

well, was mistaken
on reload it just comes right back.
its so annoying i'm gonna quit playing until they fix it.

contacted support, they swore was mod in game even though was fresh install with not trace of any mod.
if thats their idea of support, its not worth the trouble
