Bad Physics / Almost no Ragdoll in falling by Aard

Video show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81whTOOeBoY

I really love sign Aard.. and every kinectic force spell and so on - force push in star wars and so on.. I love it how enemies are flying/rolling back... In Witcher 1 was Aard almost nothing special.. Witcher 2 was better but still not good,.. and now Witcher 3.. when I seen Aard, those effects, and sound.. its so perfect.. but when I used it on somebody, and I was looking forward to see him rolling back at falling, to see nice physics work there.. no.. there is no good physics in Aard!! In every falling! No Ragdoll of body... It looks like some pre-alpha version of physics..falling on the ground like statues.. its really annoying instead of enjoying.. The most annoying physics you can see on fall from horse... Second thing is, Aard is delayed.. after casting Aard, is small time delay but only at fight, when enemy is running into you with a hit, I died a lot of times thanks to that. So I am really dissapointed in this..

I really hope.. a lot! that CD project will repair it.. Because its the most great game, but I dont understand how THIS they could allow in physics of the game, when they was showing off before game release with sentences: We work with Nvidia, we want everything perfect, especially about physx, hairworks... it is perfect game, but would be muuuuch better with good physics of aard, falling, ragdoll body and so on.

And there WAS functional physics in Aard in old gameplays before game release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BivVXw-NLTw&feature=youtu.be&t=2m30s - so beautifull push by aard..rolling...

+1 to that, i died a lot ot times too.
When you launch Aard, it actually only works when enemies have finished their actual attacks, it's a little bit annoying because it's almost useless if it can't interrupt.

Even Oblivion had ragdoll physics and that game came out in 2006. In this game every enemy dies and falls to the floor in the same way.

Honestly I'd like Aard to be like it is in these trailers:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0i88t0Kacs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-l29HlKkXU

That'd be epic :)

Yes indeed! Would be much better. :) I hoped for every patch since 1.02 that they will repair it, make it better... well now I really hope that patch 1.07 is large a long waiting because of repair physics. If not.. then CD project are blind maybe if they see it like its all right.
Also I remember now.. what is big annoying too, is when your enemy is in high with you, and he is standing on the end of the wall, and when you use Aard to PUSH HIM DOWN, he have protect against falling(invisible wall).

I'm not sure its very likely they will implement entirely new physics systems in the game... Would take a lot of work I imagine.

No rag doll physic in The Witcher 3? I can't tell you how many times I've lobbed off someone head and not only the head, but the body went flyring 100 feet too.

Try Aarding an already dead corpse and see if it does anything. I bet you it does. Or you can watch this video :p

Why does every drowner I kill collapse in the same way then? I haven't thoroughly tested with every enemy and don't have time to play now but each enemy I killed seemed to fall to the ground in the same way.

Yea, there is ragdoll in objects... so dead bodies included... But LIVING object wont do you ragdoll... Try it or look at my video in first post. When living object is falling on the ground, he fall by way like in witcher 1, after that he is lying on the ground like statue(when you will stab him on the ground, he wont do any little move, just statue) When he is lying and you use Aard on him again, then ragdoll works, and thats bad, because its system like :He is free to move = physics dont work on him, ragdoll no too.. when he is unable to move(lying or dead) = its just an object, ragdoll and physics works. And thats bad. Try it and you will hopefully understand me.

The issue for me is that enemies "trip" over their own loot bags when they are killed. You know, humans drop pouches and drowners drop....intestines.

The loot bags have collision meshes on them for some reason, so the rag dolls bounce off them when they are killed, which looks completely ridiculous. They could fix this by either taking he collision meshes off the lootspawns in relation to rag dolls, or make it so that the dead body IS the loot bag, like 99 percent of other RPGs.

Also, there is still the issue of the aard effect being about a quarter of a second too late. Which is both an aesthetic and gameplay concern.

I agree that it looks weird when enemies are knocked down. They just freeze in a statue like position and don't react in the slightest when you stab them. Heck, even Assassin's Creed was able to get that right.

That is hilarious if enemies are really tripping on their own loot bags.

Here's your ragdoll. Everything was beautiful and the game would be the real next game every gamer in the world would crave. I hope sometime they bring it back to its full glory.
