Are they following this?:
https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Resting#h-Long Rest
Just tell me that rest can be randomly interrupted by ambushes, then I know who is the DM of that campaign .
I see...its always problematic full translation of rules because there is no DM to bend them a little and avoid this "stupid" situations.Do you mean only the long rest or all the things there? There is long and short rest, but no crafting. As I said I haven't played it recently (it grew too big for my SSD), but when I was, the long rest was too easy to do. Which was a problem
Anyway, I see that with the latest patch they have added the need to bring food/drink to be able to rest....and my knowledge ends here
My point with the 'they follow the 5e rules a bit too closely' was that I don't like chance playing such a major role in your ability to do stuff. I know there are proficiency(?) bonuses to make some classes better at some tasks, but still. For example: (hopefully no spoilery one) there is a point in BG3 where you encounter 3 unknown runes. You can decipher them if you have the needed knowledge ofccourse. So my 16 int wizard who specializes in 'arcane' (not sure if that was what the right skill) look at them and went 'I dunno'. Which is fine, but the problems come when my 8 int fighter came along and goes 'ah yes ofcoursse...they do such and such'![]()
Sadly, The Witcher has sort of screwed up every single other medieval fantasy game 4 me![]()
Hopefully, 2022Cant wait to play BG3. Ive thought million time to try it but people keep saying its ready 2022 or 23.
Don't be...don't get me wrong, I hope the game (and it is shaping to be) is amazing, but being too hyped just means you will be disappointed when it comes outIm hyped up as hell.
It should function as pre-order afaik, but I am generally against pre-orders (tho not always followed it). This game has been seemingly interesting for a long time, but there’s no way I’m paying 60€ for betatesting privilegs. It’s not that interesting.
I'm dying to play BG3, but am still waiting to rebuild my PC so it can run it. I spent way, way too much time on the originals when they came out but my main concern is ... barrels.
I liked Divinity Original Sin 2 quite a bit, but found it quite frustrating that almost every combat encounter resulted in the floor being covered in four different types of flaming elements, it got fairly ridiculous in places.
You won't have to pay for the final release, though. You basically get a playable pre-order. I usually don't buy early-access games, because I don't like to play games with work in progress state with missing features. It's the only time I gave in and purchased it because there were no games in 2021 worthy of my time and because I liked what I saw so far. I was pleasantly surprised. Granted, I didn't play any of the previous Larian games, so... I'm waiting for very few games, but this one is one of them. Unless it gets buried in feature creep and countless delays, hoping to see the final release in a year or two. This game has been seemingly interesting for a long time, but there’s no way I’m paying 60€ for betatesting privilegs. I guess the logic is beta-testing is optional, but you get to try the new thing before everyone else does. And since you still get the full game it's fair deal.I don’t understand what’s the worth of preordering in a digital age in the first place. The copies aren’t running out and in-game swag, an included soundtrack or somesuch isn’t a real or honest lure.
And if I was to help betatesting a game via early access, at least I should get a discount.
