Bartek Gawel's TW2 Concepts

This part of the forum could use a little cheering up :) So here's a little art compilation, concepts that aren't in the artbook or anywhere else that I know. Links have been posted before, but I thought it would be nice to have all images in one place. Sorry for triple-post, but this forum has a limit of 10 images per post.

Souces:
. Bartek's Blog
. zBrush Forum

More posts:
. TW2 CG Intro concepts (Mage & Demavend)

CDPR: It would be nice if you did artist features in the future! I tried googling those listed in the artbook, but not much came up. C'mon, you've got an amazing team, show them off! :)

Holiday card 2011! ♥

Early Scoia'tael concepts... imagine Iorveth with shrubbery crown and awkward face paint, now that would've been something.

Foltest

Radovid

Demavend
That tongue really... adds to the character.

Arjan the Flawless

Stennis
So arrogant.

Triss

Philippa

That guy with perfect nose

Letho

Loredo

Loredo's ma
Many claim she was modelled after their mother-in-law.

Dethmold the Fabulous
Check out that red collar! Stylish, even in concepts.

Girls

Grannies

King Ziggy

Nice Christmas card

What i love about this game is just that. Women are made after real women not some Barbie doll types size 0. The other game makers should really learn from the Witcher 2. I think Dona the one that you can not remember he looks like the King Ziggy i can't be 100% sure but the model sure looks like him.

I can not imagine Iorveth with some war paint thankfully they left it out Nice abs not to mention the butt looks good too

Bartek is one of the most talented concept artists I've seen. CDPR has gold on their hands. And now I'm scrutinizing those naked figures and I'm all but convinced they were referenced/scanned from real people, then tweaked.

I'm shocked and saddened by Dona's implication that we're anything less than cheery. Shocked!

Also, that model of Demavend will never not make me smile. He has such a "derrrrr" expression.

this guy is incredibly talented. his female figure was used for the chubby prostitute. i remember it because the proportions are so well done and realistic.

You can see the mother son resemblance between Loredo and his mother. I thought looking in through the window at the back of the mansion with her strutting around doing her thing inside was a nice touch.

With the permission of Bartek we have his works on the English Witcher Wiki: character model creation incl. info on the artist. I hope I will get more info about his work on the TW2 models as my knowledge on the ZBrush technic is quite poor.

P.s:
This article is also available in German and all international Witcher Wiki Workers (WWW) are encouraged to add these articles into their language

Ahhh you're right, it's King Ziggy! Hard to recognise without the fur. I edited the info :>

@Petra_Silie
That's great news *_* Getting disappointed with advertising and turning to painting, now that sounds all too familiar.

zBrush is a very intuitive 3D sculpting program, what kind of info are you trying to get?

Hmm... I think Ziggy's head can also be the same model of Zyvik's. Just seen your uploading in WWiki, Petra, and it's a for me.

CDPR re-using character heads? NEVER!

How this technic / tool / program is applied to the Witcher characters? I mean what are the next steps / phases in the evolution of theses models in regard of skin, facial expression, clothes, colors, etc. Can this be done with ZBrush as well?
