Based off books?

I heard it mentioned in one of the videos that the game is based off a famous Polish Fantasy Writer, and it takes place after his last book. Anyone care to tell me what 'books' or 'author' this was? Thanks, couldn't find the info anywhere..

The books the game is based off of is called (not surprisingly) The Witcher which were written by Andrzej Sapkowski (note: there is a Sapkowski subforum). I hope this helps.

If Im not mistaken it the game take place five years after the last book
