Better cpu or gpu for W3?

So i will be geeting new pc in next couple of weeks i cant wait for the next year
because the one i have now is realy strugling so basically i have 2 choices
FX 8320+GTX 770 or i5 4670k+GTX760 i know i5 is better in most of the games question
is will witcher 3 be too much cpu bound and from what i see 770 is significantly better
than 760 in some games so what do you guys and girls think would be better choice. Thanks

TW3 will almost certainly be limited by the GPU. You might want to wait for AMDs new cards which will be launched in Q4, most probably october - even if you still want to buy a geforce, it could become cheaper.

i think that a 4670 level cpu would be enough for TW3 even on ultra settings(if its not optimized like Rome 2)
the problem with TW3 is finding the right gpu

I got a new GPU for it, it's going to be more graphics than processor hungry.

We really don't know until we get more details, or even a playable demo or beta. Not likely before next year, when Maxwell from nVidia and something from AMD should already be in the market. If you buy now, you will pay too much.

If we extrapolate from TW2, the 760 should be a strong performer. TW2 is heavily dependent on the output stage, and there the 760 can outperform anything short of the 680, and almost equal the 680 and 770.

Above a certain threshold, CPU performance probably won't matter. An SSD will probably be a bigger win than a faster CPU. (This may not be true if the game does CPU PhysX with AMD cards.)

I hope that mine: i7-3770K 4.2 ghz with GTX 660 2gb, will run it at least on medium settings...

I would like to know what you guys prefer for graphic cards ? raedon or nvida ? I went with nvidia until now ... but I saw some raedon cards that have alot of power and the price was good too ...

AMD has a lot going for them on price-performance. In low-to-mid-range GPUs, they have the market pretty much to themselves; on the high end, you get more eye candy for your dollars (or bitcoins for your kilowatt-hours, if that's what you're into).

Until AMD comes out with something new (they're rumored to be making an announcement on the 25th, but previous rumors have been hoaxes, so I'm waiting until I see it), nVidia has the high rent district (GTX Titan, GTX 780) pretty much to themselves.

Or there may be cases that aren't just games on Windows that you need to consider:

Linux: nVidia has the advantage. AMD has been getting their act together and has been closing the gap this year.

CUDA, PhysX: nVidia only; these are effectively sole-source. (There's CPU-based PhysX, but it's many times slower.)

OpenCL: AMD has a huge advantage.

I run a i5 3470 @ 3.6Ghz, and a HD 6850 paired with a 720P monitor.

Won't I be able to handle the game?

You can enjoy your games equally on Radeon and Geforce. The one thing which might force you to buy nvidia, is when you absolutely want to have GPU accelerated Physx effects in a handful of games.
I personally don't really care for those, and more importantly I do not want to support the policy of keeping the Physx middleware porprietary, rather than open to all PC users.

You'll need a stronger GPU if you want more than low settings.

Possibly yes. But it's really too early to say that with reliability. You should be able to play at reasonable framerates if you lower the settings far enough under a resolution of 1366x768.#

@Guy: You can drop your scepticism, Q4 launch has been confirmed by an AMD official ;) :
You’re holding a press event in the near future to discuss your next-generation Radeon series, but what can you tell me right now?

I am waiting to see when Witcher 3 will be released first then decide what to buy next. Mid 2014 we should see new cards coming out again. Cyberpunk will probably be even more demanding then Witcher 3.. I wouldnt waste money on anything for another 6-8+ months, If you want to use newly bought card for minimum 2 years, wait with what you have and buy PS4 instead of one new gpu this year.
