Black Screen

After many problems with creating an account, frequent errors on the first version (which strangely go away by saving often) and lossing my internet connection i finnaly managed to get the enhanced edition. but as life goes i encountered another problem, as soon as i launch the game the usual gauntlet is replaced with a black horizontal bar and half of a rectangle appears at the side of the screen, and right when you get to the part with the witcher medalion (right after you skip over the epilogue) the screen turns black and the all too familiar this program had to be closed in an unusual way appears.the witcher is an awesome game that i hope im able to play all the way to the end, so if you know a solution please help meBTW im 15 and have limited knowledge of computers so i would apreciate an explanation next to things

This is the Graphic Card's problem. I had the same issue.Here are some solutions:1) Try updating your graphic card's drivers from your card's official site, as you download them.2) If the problem continues on, then you need to change the graphic card to a newer ones.3) If this problem still continues on, it's likely from the motherboard.From the Motherboard, I don't have any knowledge from this point on...

I appreciate your candidness and truthfulness in your post but i will respectfully decline your offer for help as the game is designed for players 17+ and please don`t think of me as being harsh or inconsiderate as i`m only doing as to what i think is right.

read the FAQ: http://www.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?topic=17503.0 update to patch 1.5 first, remove TAGES as explained, then retryread: Getting tech help on the forum and attach that PCWizard report as instructeddo attach the file ERRLOG.TXT from The Witcher/System folder
