Blender

Has anyone got any pointers to how to(i) Export existing Witcher models (scenery, placeables, characters) into the blender for editing?(ii) import blender models into Witcher-engine modules?

There's a collection of scripts, Neverblender, for exporting objects in a Blender scene to nwn .mdl files which may also be readable by Djinni and Witcher. Seems like it needs some modification to work with recent versions of Blender, though.

Has anyone got any pointers to how to(i) Export existing Witcher models (scenery, placeables, characters) into the blender for editing? At this time you cannot export models from the Witcher in any readable format. You can load the "m1_module.adv", the new adventure module and go to your:C:\Documents and Settings\username\\Local Settings\Application Data\The Witcher\temp\__ResourcesUnpackTmpIn this folder will be the modules "source" assets and you could get the .mdl(model source files) and load them using NWNMax intoa 3d application that supports it, or has NWN1 scripts for importing .mdl files.(ii) import blender models into Witcher-engine modules?I do not use Blender but the Blender community might have an update for exporting/importing NWN1 .mdl model files and some of those have been imported into Djinni. If you need any help and would like to discuss it further please feel free to PM me and we can see about how you can get your models working..Want to see your great work when roaming around my Witcher world...hahaCheersVinnieMc

Provided you can get it into a format for either Gmax or 3D Studio Max 6-8, and you download NWMax, you can export a .mdl file that will work in Djinni. Possibly .obj?
