Got the retail EE today, installed it, installed the blood patch right after, and got the "The Witcher has encountered a problem..." message every time I tried to boot it up. Was on these forums for a good hour looking at solutions and similar problems (they were all about enabling and disabling EAX and whatnot). Anyway, none of that worked, so I reinstalled, tried to run the game again, and IT WORKED! Played for a bit, realised I needed to install the blood patch again, did that just a few minutes ago, and now I got the error message again e_e. Somehow, the patch screws my game up. I'm running WinXP 64 bit. Could anyone give me some advice? Maybe I have to mess around with the newly installed blood files? I'd even just get rid of them for now just so I can play again...

I'm having a very odd issue using the unofficial TWCF (Witcher Censorship Fix) mod. The in-game textures that it modifies (dryad, alp, bruxa, devourer, etc.) have become corrupted:

It affects every texture that gets replaced. Alps, bruxae, devourers, dryads, etc. It's really annoying and I don't think there ever will be an update to TWCF.exe.
There is a registry key that shows the install path of the game. It's under HKLM\Software\CD Projekt Red\The Witcher. For whatever reason sometimes the install path key (The Witcher) disappears. Without that key, the patch won't be able to find the game and thus not install. This would also be true of other patches,mods,etc. If they have an installer then it will usually refer to that specific key for location of game. Solution: Run D'jinni Adventure Editor and Voila! - that will put The Witcher key back in(assuming it's not there to begin with). This worked for me! ;DP.S.) You might also want to export that specific key to a folder to save just in case. Of course you could always run The Adventure Editor again. P.S.S.) Found that if you have Steam version of game and you run "Verify integrity of game cache..." it deletes that key. At least it did in my case, Weird?!? ???

Try re-installing unofficial US Censorship Fix.Otherwise try re-installing The Witcher and install all necessary updates in proper order sans unofficial US Censorship Fix.
I searched around the forums but found no mention of anything like this, so I figured I'd throw up a post about it; my apologies if this has already been discussed and I missed it.I recently purchased "The Witcher Enhanced Edition" NA version and found that I needed to install the Blood Revival patch. However, I noticed that there was still no option to download the patch directly from this site, so I attempted to use the external mirrors. All three links set off Avast anti-virus with a warning about "Win32:Oliga [trj]". A quick search seemed to indicate that this might actually be a legitimate threat, so I was hoping for some feedback, and whether or not this was simply a false positive. Thanks in advance.
