Blurry dialogues(and some cutscenes too) issue still persists on PS5

+
Hello, is this issue ever going to be fixed?
Not sure why this issue persists, I recall it was mentioned as being fixed in 4.02 but still persists in 4.04.

Seems it's either a blur issue or related to the dynamic resolution, almost every dialogue having a blur switch each second.
Very annoying and can easily break the immersion.

I see no one has discussed this for two years, but i'm experiencing this blurring glitch as of January 2026. I played Witcher 3 initially back in 2015 and finally decided to play the nextgen version on my PS5. I experienced no blurring during the base game play through, but now that I'm playing the DLC I'm seeing it constantly. It starts occurring during dialogue scenes, and especially in scenes where firelight or candlelight is flickering in the background and across people's faces. Additionally, in dialogue scenes when I'm outside in the daylight the sun will completely wash out facial features. It's completely distracting, and without a doubt compelling me to stop playing which, of course, is a major disappointment. What is going on here? Has this seriously not been addressed by CDPR? With all the recent talk of new DLC coming I'm definitely more apprehensive about purchasing it. Can I get some kind of response from CDPR about this? How do I fix this blurring nonsense? Please keep in mind that I've cleared cache, unplugged the console, adjusted VRR settings, adjusted motion blur, etc etc. In my opinion none of this should be expected anyway, but just for reference, I've done all these things.

My guess is going to be that some sort of HDR effect (possibly a hardware setting directly through the TV or monitor) is amplifying the native light bloom effect that happens in the game by default. If using an HDR capable screen, try disabling that in the settings for the screen.

I want to be clear -- not settings for the PS5 -- the settings on the TV/monitor.

See if that tones down the effect some.

Thanks for your response. I did try that, and nope, didn't work. No matter what I try, the blurring is there. I also just went back to an earlier save in the base game and it looked just fine. As I mentioned before, this is happening with the DLC -- Hearts Of Stone in particular. It wouldn't make sense for the native light bloom to trigger a blur only in the DLC and not the base game, correct? The base game looked just fine, never had an issue, but the minute I started up Hearts Of Stone the blurring began, and remains there no matter what settings combo I try. I noticed that a patch was released a few years back regarding this very thing -- is it possible this issue is back?

Update: I finally finished Hearts Of Stone, and it blurred from start to finish. I started Blood and Wine right after and had no issues after nearly 3 hours of play. So in my case, the PS5 is having issues with the Hearts of Stone expansion. It's not my set up, it's not my console, it's not my TV -- it's Hearts Of Stone. I tried playing a few other newer games and had absolutely no issues anywhere. I feel like it's only responsible to let CDPR know about this as a lot of companies try to put the onus on the gamer and their setup, when the proof shows it's the product itself.
