Bombs and traps doing no damage!

Bombs and traps doing no damage!

I'm early in the game, in Flotsam Forest, and for some reason none of my bombs seem to be doing any damage whatsoever. On top of that, none of the traps I run into in the forest seem to be hurting me either. Is this a game bug? I downloaded the game off Steam, and it seems to be up to date.

Okay, another thing I found out was that bombs only do damage if you have more than one in your inventory, or equipped on you! Could anyone help me on this?

Sounds like a bug... I remember running through that forest and stumbling on at least two or three traps - Geralt was hurt every time. Not much, but he had to absorb a bit of damage.
As far as bombs go, I think they have to be equipped in order to work but I'm not 100% sure; it's been a while since I played the game and I don't use bombs or traps very often. Maybe reloading the tutorial and doing the section on bombs again might help - you can try out all the equipment in the tutorial/the Arena until you feel comfortable enough going out in the world and use the stuff. If I remember correctly, you can do that as soon as the game has started and you have the screen with the various options - new game, load game, save game, arena, options.. - so you wouldn't have to start a whole new game.

I'm having to drag this out of long-term memory, but I recall that there was a bug in early versions of the game regarding bombs, that the Last Bomb in Inventory wouldn't do anything. I thought it was fixed though, so I'm surprised it's still happening in the Steam version, which should be up-to-date.

Last bomb of a given type still causes zero damage. Bear traps you step into also cause zero damage. Traps you set and cause monsters to blunder into, however, still cause normal damage.
Nifty way to kill the Endrega Queens and to thin the crowd of wraiths in Melitele's Heart.

Thanks, GuyNwah! But is there a fix for this? I'm also having trouble with Thunderbolt potions. My silver sword has a maximum damage of 21, but the thunderbolt potion is only making it do a damage of 24 at most when carrying out light attacks. Am I doing something wrong?
