Bombs, [Dragons Dream]

well, i was using Dragons Dream, but I was wondering how to ignited besides using the charged Igni. its really hard to use it in a fight. if you are too close it will also damage you and if you are too far you wont reach it with igni, you have to be in exact position of you igni range limit, which you will die trying to achieve that range in a fight, is there an easier way to inflame it in battle without being damaged or die trying to activate it with igni ?

Bomb plus Igni is really powerful; I think it's only fair that they included a learning curve, to keep it from completely unbalancing the game.

Hmmmm.....interesting........never used that bomb in this way. I think I never use it at all :Dwhy don't you use something less......yourself-hurting? like Zerrikanian Sun (i used a lot) or Samun? when the foes are blinded or stunned you can slash them down with igni or blows or whatever you like.Bummm

I used Dragons Dream exactly that way Mv.c9 describes it... planted lots of Dragons Dream and ignited it to blast the slimy Zeugl.... *booom* poor Geralt was gone :whistle:There is no other way to ignite this bomb. You need to find out the suitable range between the bomb and Geralt.Okay, this is reality in the game. Dragons Dream is no friendly bomb... oddly enough Igni has friendly fire. Once Geralt wanted to lit a campfire and had no flintstone. There were blue and green marked NPCs sitting there as well. Geralt used Igni which had already a wide radius. The flame wave swept over the friendly NPCs and no-one complained ;D

Samun, that bomb is gold. also zarakanian sun that one is quite useful. the only other way i found for Dragons Dream is if you dont want to blow it your self you can let others use it, and the only other two that use fire are the normal mages and Azar javed himself- but it will also gives them the upper hand if they use it while you throw it . the dragons dream damage is equal to a level 5 Igni with 100%-150% sign intensity.but at least a double or triple increase in igni charged "fire ball" range is necessary. i mean basically no one goes for the charged igni coz the range is not that much higher of normal cast.

What do you mean "planted" drangon's dreams? You mean dropping on the ground like land mines and then igniting with the sign?

Hey, this got me thinking ... will burning (incinerated) enemies set off the bomb?Plant it like a trap, set them on fire, then lure them near the bomb ... possibly with Quen on.

I haven't tried this yet. Quen has fire resistance but I'm not sure if this is sufficient for Dragon's Dream and incineration :hmmm:

Where's the Mistress of the Witcher Wiki when you need her? It was questions like this that got her to play 30 times. ;D
