Bonus Content

I've been paiently awaiting additional content for TW2 and finally Steam posted a "Bonus Content" add-on of almost 1GB. After an overnight download from Steam that successfully completed with a "Ready to Play" message, I tried to use the downloaded "The Withcer 2 Bonus Content Launcher" desktop icon - but it only opens the "Bonus Content" folder (runs a simple batch file to run Internet Explorer opening the folder - NO EXECUTABLE). Using the original default launcher does NOT include any BONUS that I can see. Unfortunately since posting the BONUS for download, STEAM forums and support has been "unavailable for maintenance". Any additional information out there?

Same answer as I gave you in the Nexus forums :)

"Strange - I just checked the Bonus Content and it's the same 5.5GB as it has always been. There was an update a few months ago, which may be your 1GB - when did you last download it?

The "Bonus Content" for TW2 has always been content that has no direct impact on the game, so there's no real reason why it would launch the game. It's videos, manuals, the sountrack, the papercraft, stuff like that. I agree that launch.bat doesn't do anything, but there really isn't much it could do anyway, except possibly bring up a menu.

Steam forums have been hacked. They'll probably be offline for a while. Steam support is working as far as I know (it was about an hour ago). "

This was supposed to be a NEW bonus content, just released. If it's not, then Steam (and other sites) have been scammed - which I don't believe. I'll look for the appropriate reference and post the "publishers" message. The Steam download of this "bonus content" only became availble on 11/06 so I believe it to be a new file. If NOT, please let us know - now I'm concerned that I may have downloaded a BUG since you say the Steam site has been hacked.

Yes. can you give the reference for the "new content"? I haven't seen anything here, or at GoG, about anything new having been released.

Nobody is saying the main Steam site has been hacked, only the forums.
