I like everything apart from her looks. I can't fathom a girl that has been trained by basically few of the remaining Witchers in the world in a school that is renowened for, especially, it's defensive fighting prowess to run around like she does. Vesemir would spin in his grave. Why the highheels? Why the open shirt and the bra showing? Why no armor whatsoever, not even leatherstraps or what have you. Geralt would have scolded her and Triss would have frowned given that, unlike most sorceresses, she is actually known for dressing sensible. Also I don't really buy the Avallach is such a nice dude and helping me bs... he tried to force her to fuck his king and now she's all: what a nice dude and acts surprised when she discovers that he still only regards her as a piece of meat and below him? Seriously?
Nah sorry... in terms of parts of her personality, I think she is more relateable than the book Ciri. In terms of a complate image of a woman she fails. Also half of her backstory is missing. The end of the books is never really referenced to (I mean her faith). Also her early childhood trauma as well as her trauma during her teenage years seem to be completely gone. She's like mainly this sweet, stubborn, silly and a little bit daft blondie. What I'm most surprised is actually the lack of depth in her relationship with Geralt and Yen. For crying out loud... Yen called her her daughter in the books.
Nah... I'm disappointed from a canon standpoint but even more so from the standpoint of a real lack of feminism displayed here. She is empowered, she has been on the run, she has suffered psychologial trauma, she had to make do on her own, she always wanted to be a witcher, she is strong willed yet you're always left with the impression that she is mainly some eyecandy out of some developers wet dream and as soon as Geralt and Yen are near she basically let's them decide for her? Not the kind of Ciri I read.
