Borderlands 2

Will you buy it? Do you find this type of game cool? Do you think it will be game of the the year?

I was tempted with the first one but I let it pass... B2 sounds better from reviews and I'm really tired of battlefield 3. The only thing that keeps me away is the opinion that Borderlands game should be played with friends and my friends don't play games (excluding elbowing other people during Kinect sessions), so I don't know...

But GOTY? Don't think so. Personally when it comes to FPS games I'm waiting for Dishonored.

Will buy it in a few weeks, once my friends has time to play it with me. I'm a bit sad that Lilith is not playable anymore, and Zero is more like Lilith than Maya is, but I digress.

I'm definitely going to buy it just not sure when. I have several friends who plan to buy it but since we are all playing Guild Wars 2 we don't mind waiting. Besides November Baldur's Gate EE comes out and I'm trying to get them into it.

I don't really know.I play a lot of Battlefield 3 and the DLCs make it fun for some days, but it gets boring aftewards. So,I'm currently searching for a good game to pass time until Dishonored,Assassin's Creed 3,Medal of Honor,Farcry 3 and generally all big games launch.I'm a bit worried about the graphics though.I enjoy realistic graphics and this game's graphics seem a bit weird. Not sure yet.

It's getting very good reviews. I've got too many games on my backlog though.

I played on my friends steam account and man gotta hand it to Gearbox for doing everything they said PC wise. I know this makes Slim all giddy having a FOV slider.

The comments on that site are hilarious, but at least gearbox stepped it up for the sequel.

My personal favorite.

I am already playing it, and overall it's better than predecessor. Game has plenty of humor, loot, and many very useful setting for PC gamers this time around (including FPS cap) which you do not see in games all that much anymore. However, there is another issue that is quite annoying: character menus - it is really tedious to navigate and clearly designed for a controller. Equipment menu is almost as bad as Oblivion's. However, rest of the game is very enjoyable and I am eager to keep playing.

I do not think that friends are as necessary to play it, as others make it seem. I am playing Maya co-op and Axton solo and so far I am enjoying both runs equally. If you are planning of giving a try to an FPS - try this one, one of the very few FPS games that have some originality.

I ended up buying it. It's fun so far, but I'm not sure I'll be playing it for longer than it takes to reach level 50 for my character.

The looks intriguing, though I I'm still uncertain if I should get it. Though if someone could help answer my questions, it would make it easier for me to decide.

Is the game a open-world game? Can you play e.g. 2 players through the entire story? Are there stuff to do when you've finished the game? Any vehicles you can use?

I played the first game for about 10 minutes and thought that it was incredibly mediocre. It's an fps MMO-like grind game. Where's the fun in that? I guess playing with friends could be cool but the game just looks bland and muddy. That cell shading thing they're doing, I hate it. Usually cell shading could be used to create a great visual style but more often than not it's used to hide your shitty looking game. Make it look like a cartoon and you're all set. It's a cheap move but again, I wouldn't mind it if the graphics weren't stylized beyond recognition. I've some videos and it's nearly impossible to tell an enemy apart from the background.

In short, not my cup of tea. Definitely skipping this one.

First, its outlined, not cel shaded. Ocarina of Time is cel shaded.

Second, the whole prospect of the game is tons of loot, tons of over the top humor and just not taking yourself seriously. I agree that the game gets boring after a few hours if you play it alone, but play it with a friend or two and I guarantee you will have a blast.

Also, MMO FPS Grind fest? CoughDiablocough. Replace FPS with isometric view and you have the same game and Diablo is revered. (At least the first 2)
