With as many BDs I have found and bought. I am really starting to believe that BD was going to be their new "Gwent". but got cut.
Braindance was always going to be a huge part of the game and is still a huge part of the game.
However, the majority of braindances we'd experience wouldn't be sexual at all.
One definite missing braindance is Lizzy Wizzy's.

I find it funny how people automatically relegate braindances to porn when the game specifically shows you other uses for them.
I think its more the weird fact we can buy porn braindances but not use them due to being "incompatible hardware." I didn't expect to view porn from shady shops.
So why sell it to us as anything but a junk item?
I find it funny that it seems like some folks were expecting every corner BD shop to have a fully stocked and unique pronographic BD library for sale. Maybe even with free weekly DLC updates.
I'd say that's an exaggeration but there actually seems to be people who expected porn in this game.
If that was the plan, then they wouldn't need to have MP for an income stream.

If it truly is adult cyberpunk I'd expect there to be sex/porn just about everywhere.

I'm on the fence but I'm going to have to go closer to no. The BD's were created as a mechanic to explore and do investigative gameplay and they did a great job on it. I don't think it was ever intended to show porn or be used in the way people living in Cyberpunk are using it. All they would be doing is animating random 20 sec cut scenes of porn. Does it add to the world building? Possibly.. but should it be a priority over other things they can do? That being said, I'm not against it. I just don't really see the point of it personally.
Well i would have lean to no porn bds ingame, dont think its necessary ,yes its a dark setting game is in but its a game not porn, there be places to go for that if you wish.
With evelyns story and the joytoy and dolls etc and clubs ingame like club empathy i think ita called theres plenty you can see if you wish, theres plenty of ingame loud audio adverts anyway, sex is everywhere but we dont need graphic bds of it

Sorry for bumping the thread, but I decided to jump in to share my two cents. I’d have leaned towards no porn BDs in-game. It's not about the explicit content for me either, but more about keeping that seamless experience. Immersion is crucial, and it can be disappointing when the elements promised don't live up to expectations. However, the game already has various adult themes, and too much explicit content might shift the focus from the game itself. Additionally, for those seeking more adult content and explicit scenes, there are sites like https://phima1.xyz/phim-18/. So why turn the game into something too explicit? You can always find it on the Internet.

I don't think adding actual 'porn' to the game would be appropriate. That being said, there's a mod called 'Romance Replays' that allows you to rerun the 'romance sequences' you've experienced in the game. Fun idea, IMO. But that's really as far as it goes.
I do think 'braindances' could be useed more in the game...I'd love to see the tutorial segment from the beginning of The Rescue be reviewable as a BD....and maybe all the braindances that are used in the game.

I don't care about 'porn' braindances, but BDs in general definitely should have been things you could view randomly with no connection to the story, or maybe some have some quest attached or whatever, but totally separate from the bunch of mandatory and quite frankly tedious after one playthrough BDs that were in the game.
this is feature creep of the most inane kind, they didn't have time to get the driving right, some thing you do a lot, porn BDs would have been the grosses waste of dev time i can imagine when you don't have core mechanics down.
