[BUG] A Matter of Life or Death
So once again combat states and the game's complete and utter failure to recognize when Geralt is under attack have me back in this forum bitching about it. I would like to apologize for that. I don't want to be negative. I do so much prefer the CDPR appreciation thread, My Witcher 3 WOW moments, and The Devil is in the Details. I'd rather praise all the wonderful moments I've had in this game, fawn over the artwork and the million tiny details that just stun me every time I play. Unfortunately it is the game's failures that jar me out of that experience, piss me off and send me here to rant and moan and complain.
Okay, so at the Vegelbud party there are two fights. The first is with the drunk who insults Triss right after arriving to the party. The second is when the three Snatchers mistake Geralt for Albert. I just finished the mission and in BOTH of those fights the game failed to realize that Geralt was under attack. I could not attack. I could not block. I could not roll away. I was under attack and could not even take potions or eat food to mitigate the damage I was taking. Also, in the latter fight, casting Axii: Puppet on one of my attackers resulted in Geralt refusing to attack him. He simply did the "I'm-threatening-you-with-my-fist" pose. Then, when the spell wore off it's target began attacking me again and Geralt refused to raise his hands to defend himself.
So... please fix this. Please. Not just at the Vegelbud party but throughout the game. Getting punched in the face, shot with arrows, or hit in the face with a big glob of shit while Geralt stands there like a stump is perhaps one of the single most maddening experiences I can think of.

So the problem is continuing...
Oxenfurt, on my way south to help Roache and Vess, I come across three men accosting a woman on the street. After a brief dialogue they attack. Geralt fails to realize that he's in combat and gets beaten to death. The things that seem to be common here are: Geralt is in "civilized" areas engaged in fist fights.
I don't know if anything is going to come of this but here's hoping...
