[Bug/Audio Issue] Missing Geralt Voice Lines – The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition (v4.04, GOG)

I recently installed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition (version 4.04) via GOG Galaxy and encountered an issue where Geralt has no voice lines during gameplay or dialogue.


All other characters’ voice acting works normally, and all ambient sounds, combat grunts, and sign effects play correctly — only Geralt’s dialogue audio is completely missing.


Here are the relevant details:

• Platform: PC (GOG version)
• Game version: 4.04 (Complete Edition)
• Language settings: Interface – Polish, Voice – Polish
• Audio output: Wireless headphones (also tested with wired headphones – same result)
• Mods: None installed (clean installation)
• Steps taken:
  • Verified and repaired the installation via GOG Galaxy
  • Changed the voice language to English and back to Polish
  • Reinstalled the Polish language pack
  • Deleted configuration files from Documents\The Witcher 3
  • Fully reinstalled the game
• Result: The issue persists — Geralt remains silent during all dialogue, while other audio elements work as intended.

Additionally, I noticed that my installation does not contain the w3speech folder, which might indicate that the Polish voice pack was not properly downloaded or recognized by the installer.


Could you please confirm if this is a known issue with version 4.04 on GOG, or provide guidance on how to properly obtain and install the missing w3speech files for the Polish dubbing?

I can't say it's a known issue, at least according to posts on the forum, it doesn't seem to be a "common" issue
If you used mods in the past and if you didn't perform a clean install as explained here, consider to give a shot, just to be sure :
