[BUG] Contact: Jenny O' The Woods

So i found this as bug, i just made 1 level 9 and 2 lvl 10 contract quests and strike bosses for 190~250 damage.
so i select my next contract quest Contact: Jenny O' The Woods, Also level 10 quest. but for some reason i only hit the boss for 31 damage
with
my silver sword

yes i used trap, oil, and got used to her attack patterns, that's not helping.
so i find this as a bug, i damaged bosses for 31 damage at lvl 1...

Jenny O'The Woods is a specter and needs to be trapped with Yrden in order to take a material form.
Once she's in her material form, you should have no trouble slaying her and putting her to her eternal sleep.
If she doesn't take enough damage, even when trapped in Yrden circle, you should consider buying a better silver sword and using Specter Oil on it.
The Glossary is a great source of knowledge about monsters and how to slay them.

Happy hunting!

She is a bit brutal for a level 10 contract... You need Quen (to avoid her really strong attack), Yrden to trap and make her vulnerable to your sword ~ but having two signs running at the same time is tricky to set up, and you need to dodge a lot while waiting for Yrden to come available. (Rolling delays the process so dodge).

Spectre Oil (in the best quality you can find ~ at least normal, ideally enhanced or better), and a good sword are essential. I'd go and do some other level 10-11 quests first, then return to both her and the Graveyard at Lindenvale quests.

My build when I took both on was level 12 with Fleet Footed (5) (silver fast attack 425/950@27%).

You have to quickly kill her three dopplers once they spawn in, otherwise she will fully heal while draining your health, then get Quen and Yrden back up. (Maybe the Yrden Trap would work, but I didn't have that available. Moon Dust didn't seem to work, she just teleported on being hit and didn't stay in her 'fixed' mode for any time at all.

Tawny Owl is useful, as is 'sun and stars', because they boost stamina regeneration for more sign usage. I found her tricky on both normal level and again when playing Death March... I don't think she is an easy foe, and single mistakes hurt a lot.

Other wraiths (and noon and night wraiths or plague maidens) aren't so tough because you can choose when to enter the fight with both Quen and Yrden active and with more space to work. The cutscene guarantees entering the fight unprepared and under pressure - give yourself some space by dodging back at the beginning.

She also dashes after you hit her three times which can do a lot of damage, so you might think about only hit her twice and then dodge.

It is one of the harder contracts if you fight her early, that is for sure.

Here is a video of the fight with a level 10 Geralt on Death March if you need more help:

I had quite a time with her as well. I think they need to up the recommended level on this one. I was level 9 and using a Maugrim silver sword that hits for over 100 damage minimum. Counting about 10 reloads after being killed in two hits (usually because I'd roll into a tree and not escape her attack), the fight took me about an hour of dying/reloading. My winning fight took me nearly 15 minutes from start to finish.

I love how the Bestiary tells you to trap her with Yrden and then cast Igni...which does fook all. I would try that, and she would take 0 damage...never once catch fire...and would just look at me like, "Well, that was rude." Waste of Tawny, I tell ya.

My strategy in the end? Cast Yrden...then play whack-a-mole with her undead face until she became, erm, extra dead.
