[bug] Cyberware capacity shard drop rate seems bugged

+
Unlike carrying capacity which have absolutely no impact on the gameplay...(most of stuff which weight, are intended either to be sold or either to be dismantled, so who care...), cyberware capacity directly influence how many cyberwares you're allowed to install, how "good" they are and so, how strong your character is/become.
So again, I didn't say there is no bug, I would be (very) surprised if there is no limit and if you're allowed to farm infinitely capacity shards. Kinda of RPGish decision...You can't do everything nor install every best cyberwares in the game, you have to "decide" which ones you want or able to.

Yeah you just get an awesome iconic cyberware! But its capacity cost a lot... So either you won't use it (too "expansive" for its bonus), either you will uninstall some other cyberwares which are less useful for you. Exactly in the same way you can earn a limited amont of perk points, a limited amont of attribute points.

But I guess, we'll see in the next patch how it is (if it's fixed^^).
Not asking for infinite. I want to see the capacity reach the end-line on the UI. Just like armour. 400+ER is enough CWC to let you play with quite a few pieces of iconic Cyberware. If you could just equip ALL iconics, you'd need somewhere in the upper limit of 600 CWC at a minimum. Their costs are immense. 450 would allow for some neat combinations. That is all I'm asking for. Forcing a full stop at 220-330 is weird and it shows something is wrong because some people have high capacities and some have really low capacities at the exact same level.

Yeah, so we pretty much agree :)
(sorry, but maybe I'm too much used to people who want be able to max out attributes/perks/whatever^^)

On side note, almost two full playthroughs in 2.0/2.01 and for both characters, I reached 318 for one and 320 for the second (edgerunner perk and all perk bonuses included).
I played both in a different way. For one, I completed all NCPD scanner hustles and farmed random dudes on the map to be as high level as possible before starting main quest and so, PL. For the second, the opposite, only focused on main/side quests until reaching max level.

All my pre expansion characters (50s) are really struggling getting Cyberware capacity up. I'm more or less stuck around ~250 and after 60 I don't think I've seen a single drop. Yes....glitches, mods and console are workarounds but I don't like to use those.

Seems loot table is broken after level 60. Zero cyberware capacity shards dropping and 99 percent of all weapon drops are broken.

So even with 2.02 this "feature" isn't fixed ? Gotta wait 10 more years till the game will be finally fixed ?

I invested over 150 hours since 2.0 in CP2077 and i really want the best experience. I need to be able to equip all if at least half the iconic cyberware . I am lvl 60 and stuck at 330 cap with Edgerunner perk. For more than 50 hours i didn't get any shard ! This is ridiculous !

After reach high lvls (above 50), capacity cyberware shards just stop dropping, no matter how much I try to farm them, and I not using the car trunk cheat. So I'm stock with 330 capacity cyberware with edgeruner perk activated. Its kind of a bummer because you stay very limited on the use of cyberware in general. I hope CDPR fix those drop rates.

Previously i was able to find them in airdrop crates, but now i can't find ANY !

Please make them available at Ripperdocs at least.

I can't equip the desired cyberware and play the game how i want.

I mostly get carrying capacity shards and redundant skill shards for already maxxed passive skills.

A lot of people complain about this. It's shame it isn't a priority for them.

it would be much better if they just made them shards abailable to purchase from specific vendors, each purchase at increased rates, this way we could plan our build accordingly... if you get too little, well, it sucks because you cannot use the cyberware you want, too much, then you are locked out of talent [Edgerunner]'s Fury

You may want to just start another run. My 2.0 saves were bugged in that I both had no light in my apartment above the door, even though I did in previous game ver saves, and that I had a super low drop rate for cyberware capacity shards.

On the 2.02 save both were fixed. One hour into free roam before the heist and two have dropped already, both from Maelstrom goons. Even before this the only place I found shards were from random cyberpsychos in Dogtown - so I would still expect they drop from borged out enemies.

I agree with the general idea of being able to buy the shards from vendors instead of relying on what seems like pure luck but there would need to be some limitation to how many at once/when you can buy them. Otherwise, because of how easy it is to make money now, it would be too easy to just drive around and immediately get all the shards.

Something like shards tiers. Tier 1 is two points and only X exist, tier 2 is four points and only Y exist or something. Then lock the tiers behind different SC levels. You'd still be able to buy them all by level 25-30 but that seems like a much better point to go full cyborg than level 10. Then make sure it all adds up to 50 points shy of the hard cap so that the Edgerunner perk remains valuable.

Right now it's just too much praying to the RNG gods. Like @BabaBooey88, my experience has been that they seem to drop more from the more chromed out peeps out there but the drop rate is either abysmal or borked.

yeah of course, to a limit, or maybe make them incremental in prise then they reach a point that each costs millions and is just not worth it, tied to screet cred or level seems a good idea to limit the ammount you can get at once.

there are many possibilities indeed, but what it's clear is that the actual system is deeply flawed and not well thought at all.
