[Bug] Fool's Gold DLC Quest

"Talk to the pig"... sadly I cannot as it has spawned under the rock. Reloading changes nothing. By jumping in the water I can just catch a glimpse of where it is from under the span looking up but cannot actually interact with it. Busted quest.

I am having the same problem as mentioned up there, the pig is literally stuck under the rock....I guess I have to skip this quest first until the dev fixed the problem

Just updated graphic drivers to see if that made any difference... nope. Pig is still underground.

Indeed I noticed a woman dancing on a table is Skellige is almost off the edge, making me wonder if this is not some evidence of an off-set bug placing more than just Mister Piggy in not quite the right place. Also noticed the animation of people walking carrying boxes is... weird. The legs move all wrong, but probably unrelated to this bug.

Having same issue. Pig spawns in the floor and is unreachable. (Ps4 version)

No already tried that from underneath... in my case it is stuck in the ceiling above (under the bridge) and cannot be interacted with

I just found a couple Skelligers on a pier near a boat, in the village close to the shrine in Following the Thread, who are floating in the air :D I suppose this is the inverse of the pig bug, which has him underground.

I'm having a similar problem related to this quest. I am at the very start of it after you beat the bandits that are roasting the pig. It says to use Witcher sense to sense the pigs and examine them. I did just that but nothing happens. Is there supposed to be an interaction button above the pigs or something and Geralt looks at them and mumbles to himself like usual? Because the only thing that is happening is that the pigs are red colored and that's it, no examine button at all or anything triggering.

Sounds like a different problem. At the stage you are talking about you need to get close enough to them and just hit interact and he says "definitely magic"... the problem I am describing is an intractable spawning object inside 'solid' ground and therefore not being at the marker (i.e. the spawn coordinate is off-set for some reason).

A different problem, but relating to the same quest. Either way.
Anyway, yeah, that's not happening. There isn't any interact button appearing over the pigs at all. It seems similar to the bug where the blacksmith won't talk to you because the interact button over his/her head doesn't appear.

I'll just leave this here though, just in case one of the developers happen to see it. If not, then I'll make my own post about it.

Hello,

I don't want to open an extra thread. In the german-version of "The Witcher III - Wild Hunt" I stand now in front of Lurtch: Can I play now the DLC "Fool's Gold" with limitations or is it unplayable through the bugs?

I posted a very similar bug comment. I had to get round the bug by jumping into the water off the right side of the arch and swimming round to the left and climbing up the rock face while witcher sense is active. If done right you initiate the conversation with the pig. The pig is actually under water and standing on the pool bed. The cave rocks sit on either side of the arch so the pig is hemmed in. Not brilliant but was doable and I completed the quest

Gerault just acknowledges that the pigs are indeed magic because when you examine them with witcher sense they appear to understand him. He concludes that it must be a spell they are under.

I'm Ps4 user, so Ps4 case resolved for me for this Glitch: "Got stuck with Pig underneath rock(in cave) yesterday". So here it is step by step:

Reloaded game save just prior to the start of the quest(before investigating red-highlighted pigs in igor's house - luckily they had 'examine' option above them for me). This time, went to cave entrance, killed soldiers there, meditated for an hour, saved game, entered cave, fought diggers, saved game on same save-slot, extinguished lit-fire, put key in key-hole, did not investigate footsteps on floor, went straight lookin for the pig. So there's a living little pig already waitin for ya at the entrance on that spot, talked to it(without selecting any option for progression yet), looked/examined at the altar spot where gold was kept, returned to pig and made whatever selections to progress further. After that no problems were encountered. Hope this helps.

I had this issue on PC, loaded a previous save and tried again, the pig was where it was supposed to be and I completed the quest. I thought I'd be able to trade with the herbalist, is it not possible or I made a choice that resulted in him leaving?

First, Hi everyone, now for those who has problems with the piggs from the begining of the quest, you have to look with the witcher senses the three cabins where the pigs are. in the first and second cabin nothing happen you cant examin those, but in the third you can. you have to search in order. then you can progress in the quest.
But here is my problem. I dont want spoil anything but in some point you have to come back to talk to the guy who give you the quest but he doesnt talk to you and do nothing he stay on his knees and cant progress the quest. :(
