If this is not a bug then their game deisgner deserves to hanged by the testicles. Collectibles are never missable. What's the point of replaying 100+ hour game from the begining?
CD Project, go learn how to do achievements, please. Check Assassin's Creed, they have a million collectibles and they all work.
Your being too kind. I decided to go for the gwent achievments on my third playthrough, I failed in the gwent tournament and I believe I wont get those missing cards. Screw doing another playthrough. just for gwent.hanged by the testicles. .
Yes, I even have to save before crossing shallow water, got stuck many times and was unable to get out. I always save before talking to a npc just incase it bugs. Infact i'm so paranoid of getting bugs I save even when I come across any enemy because ive had that stuck in combat unable to save bug. I don't use demeterium bombs anymore, had the cant cast sign bug. always save before the caged merchants incase I don't get a key. Its frustrating as hell.There seems to be a lot of situations like this throughout the game, if it isn't this then it's some bug that blocks progression. For me it's turning out to be "A Game of Saves." Constant saving just in case something wrong that ruins progression happens.
I understand your frustrations @Geragio, well hopefully CDPR is reading this thread as well so they would know how players feel about the bugs they are encountering. What you are doing is correct, saving everytime when you are about to do something but I think its not supposedly that way if the game is fixed isn't it? this is just crazy... making missable items on a hundred hours long game... i have over 200+ hours on death march, but because i missed a few shit cards i can't get platinum except if I restart the whole fucking game again... i mean, COME ON... this is a fucking MINI GAME and not a history releated decision.
yhea.... as one of the user mentioned before, AC has million collectibles... but this is not AC game! If you FAIL then it's your failure, not game or devs. Stop whining and do your best at second/third playthrough! Also this is only an achievement and not a life-dependent activity. If you FAILED to achieve it, then no big deal. Just try to achieve it again or pass! Adding those cards in patch will be unfair for people who achieved it in the first place.
As for replayablility of this game. It has 3 main (different) endings. If anyone want to know all those outcoms, then 3 playthroughs is a minimum! It can be done i.e. as First on Death March, and another two on Easy as speedrun.

first rule of gwent is to save before every match from quest. tournament or not.
the merchants and others you can replay at any time, from quest you might not.
i missed the tournament at the ball my first play-through so in the current one (on deathmarch) i made it my objective to collect all cards. so i did and got the achiv.
the more pressing issues with achievements are BUGS, not missable stuff.
How is this supposed to be a fail if it wasn't an objective in the mission? No objectives, nothing. The ones who failed were the game designers.If you FAIL...
Fuck no, I have better things to do with my life, other games to play and better achievements to do. I hope CD Project learns from this and make their future games less stupid....and another two on Easy as speedrun.

I missed them too it's the only cards I missed, I didn't even realise there was a tournament during that mission until I looked at a guide.
The only thing that bugs me is that every other card be it the barons the three during the zoltan quest the zoltan card and a few others are all obtainable elsewhere if they were missed. Why was this the only one were you never had another chance to get them?
