[Bug] Patch 1.07 - Difficulty Settings Slider Missing in Options > Gameplay.

RESOLVED: Once I launch a save the difficulty option is available in-game. Guess it doesn't show otherwise.

PC Steam version Patch 1.07.

After updating to Patch 1.07 I was checking settings after the reset and notice there is no Difficulty slider showing on my Options > Gameplay window. I can see the new Alternative movement slider but the Difficulty slider is completely missing from the page.

I have no mods and changed nothing in the downloaded settings etc. other than via the in-game menu. See this image of the page for my install of 1.07.

Anyone else having this issue? I could not see any other post on it so not sure if it;s just my game or not.

I have verified files which was OK and restarted the game but it is still missing.

It is concerning as I am just coming to the end of a long Death March play through and really dont want to mess up the Achievement over this.

In the user.ini file it shows:
[Gameplay]
Difficulty=0
HudTutorialEnabled=false
EnableUberMovement=1
Click to expand...
This reflects the options I chose in Gameplay. The Difficulty is set to '0' or Easy as I expected after the reset and I could set it to '4' but prefer to have the in-game slider working to be sure before continuing.

Any suggestions, feedback, confirmation of the bug appreciated.

EDIT:

I can confirm this bug is still present in version 1.12 of the game - there is no difficulty slider under Options/GamePlay
What was the resolution (other than editing config file)?

I need to drop difficulty down from maximum.
I am resuming playing in this otherwise excellent game after some months - and unfortunately am right at what I think must be the final boss fight, so I have no time/inclination to relearn the necessary fighting skills before being clobbered.

Yup. It's something that can be changed in the game, and that's stored in the savegames, not an ini file. So it gets set when you start a new game, and can be changed via the in-game options only, not the global options.
