[BUG] PS5 Crashes When Loading Sync'd PC Save – Error CE-108255-1

Hey all,


I recently decided to dive back into Cyberpunk 2077 and started a new Corpo playthrough on my PC. I completed the prologue and left it there.


This morning, I tried to load that sync’d PC save on my PS5, but the game crashes immediately after selecting the save file. It throws the following error:


PS5 Error Code: CE-108255-1


Here’s what I’ve confirmed so far:

• Both PC and PS5 are on the latest patch (2.21)
• Phantom Liberty is installed on both platforms
• PC version launches via Steam
• "Mods" option is disabled in the launcher
• PS5 save files load fine on PC
• I even loaded a PS5 save on PC, manually saved a new file, then tried loading that on PS5—same crash

Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there any known workarounds or fixes?

I'm not 100% sure but if you ever used mods on your PC and didn't perform a clean install of the game, it could be possible that some mod data are "added" into your save files (even if you disabled them) and cause crash when loading it on your PS5.
To be sure, I suggest to perform a clean install, then start a new playthrough and try to load it on your PS5.
