I'm having this bug now, and it's really annoying. I can't go back before the Hen quest, because I did that ten or fifteen hours ago, and I cant continue this quest because I found a locked door too early. Any idea when this'll be fixed?

This is like the bug I'm having with Rough Neighborhood where nobody even shows up, I still can't find that quest, and knowing it's there is killing me.

I had the same problem, did the Hen thieves quest first and the doors then didnt respond. For me worked this solution: try to go through the closed door (right wing I think, but try both to be sure) forward key hard presseed with witcher sense on and spam open key. I did slow "slide" along the door and in some point the quest moved to cutscene. I found this solution somewhere and it worked, so I hope it will help.

Is that after which the conversation with the halflings in the house say "you've found the house", they give you a key (which doesn't appear in inventory) - you go to the house with no one accompanying you?

no, this method starts the cutscene in which halfling appears and give you the key. i had no problem with opening the gate after this cutscene, i had problem with cutscene not starting at all.

That's what I mean because at the moment I go over to the house, not accompanied by the halflings, I open the door and it's just an empty basement regardless of which door I open.

No cutscene, just door opens, that's it. Cannot complete quest. Says to open basement door and the other objective is to talk to the halfling. Quest is broken for me as others have pointed out.

*update, just tried what you said xorxe9, but I think because of the situation in what happens in the quest line for me that doesn't work. The halflings are still at the big mansion and told to stay there until I return. Objective is to "open basement", nothing in there, no cutscene, no monster or what ever it is that's meant to be there.

Once it's opened, the quest does NOT update.

It's also nice to know that the treasure hunt quest "dirty funds" hasn't been fixed either.

Oh, I think this quest is fubar. My problems strated on the frozen hive, where I find all clues, but this step never dissapeared from the quest log, Geralt just spoke two lines at once, it was weird. I followed footprints to the pond, then second step started, but the first one was still in quest log, strange. Even when I was supposed to open the door, I still had the step looking for the clues around the hive active. Then I had to lick the doors TB style to activate the cutscene.... And as I read I was the lucky one. I hope the 1.05 will fix this, sorry that it didnt work.

Same problem. Explored the building very early on, got the quest like 10-12 hours later. Can't open a dialogue with the halfling as indicated by the quest and opening the basement leaves one of the two doors locked and doesn't appear to trigger neither quest nor the creature (whatever it is).

Same here on PC.
Noticed something strange: In hopes to get the quest fixed by visiting the frozen hive (I've only been to the cellar door and the meadery), I watched a video to see where it's supposed to be. It's not there. Only frozen ground, no footprints, no beehive.

Would be awfully nice to hear, if it's going to be patched soon...

/€: Just went to Yantra and found the contract on the notice board. Didn't help though, Halflings don't talk to me, beehive missing, Hound missing.

My only concern is I have a few backed up secondary quests that are either to high a level or need me to go to Skellige, plus the contracts such as the one mentioned in the title, IF I progress the main story line will they disappear or fail?

I heard that one main quest deactivates some secondary quests, but I don't know if that's the case for contracts. because there is an achievement for finishing the game after completing all contracts. if that's the case we must took a break from the game till this contract is fixed. :(

Oh yeah I remember reading that some where about contracts being able to be completed after finishing the game. Cheers for that, not far in and don't want things to cut off so being really cautious.

So they fixed the thing - for everyone who doesn't have the quest yet. Good for you guys.
Unfortunately I'm still stuck as before. At least give us the opportunity to cancel and accept the quest again.

when will they fix this glitch, im frustrated that they released 5 patches and all of those patches doesn't fic this glitch

Believe we're only on the 3rd patch right now, number 4 was meant to be coming out earlier this week but it's been delayed for don't know what with the community manager only saying "they're hard at work, can't say any more than that, sorry maybe later" or along those lines anyway.

So the word is maybe next week.

I'd imagine this quest will be patched in number 5?

Smico, they fixed it? I'm at the point where I have to go up and initiate the contract, the name is in the quest tab but yet to actually "start" it, will see if it's fixed later, strange, didn't get an update =S

Sigh, I got excited thinking they may have fixed it in the PC patch 1.05. Looks like they might have only fixed/helped it if you haven't gotten the quest previously. I am still stuck in the same position as before.

Very curious because it didn't do anything, bit random that they'd release a patch for it without it asking for an update... still same problem.

I have an issue with the quest also but mine is a little different. I did not open the doors before the quest started, but after starting the quest I search the area with the behive, investigate everything I find with witcher sense and track the footsteps to the cave, then it tells me to open the door but I cannot, there is no prompt to open the door and the investigate area portion never marks as complete.

This is after 1.05 patch, so apparently if they fixed the previous issue a different one has popped up.

I to still have this issue and its very frustrating. ITs only one of two that are messed up, but still, I wanted to complete them all :( Heres hoping there is a fix one day without having to start over on it.
