[Bug] The Nilfgaardian Connection main quest

Nothing gamebreaking, but irritating really. I'd noticed it back at 1.0.0 and I thought this should've been fixed by now.
This happens if I choose not fight the baron's men in the inn at the crossroads. A journal entry appears only after I search the dead body of Hendrig that checks as red not fighting them back then.

Its not so much a bug, more of an oversight, you cant get a green tick in that box, so the only other option is for you to get a red cross. Don't see this as a fail, see it as an option you didn't take.

If I had the option to fight them but I didn't, I'd agree with you. It's just that this objective is not even present at the time. It appears near the end of the quest only.

You did have the option to fight or not fight. Not explicit, but given, nonetheless.

Can anyone confirm if this is a bug? I played through this part twice, and the first time I dont remember getting a failed objective after buying the barons mens drinks instead of fighting. I dont think the objective defeat the barons men is supposed to pop up unless you choose to fight them?

That's what I thought too. It shouldn't pop up.
